Don’t bother for Ottawa. Online stock for the Malm 6-drawer is 0 when I checked at 11:25 this morning. IKEA opens at 10 so this whole thing probably has no stock to start with. Weather is pretty bad today so I doubt there will be enough customers to buy all stock for the item before noon.
Called the store after lunch but the girl refused to check in person and said if there is no stock online then there is no stock.
There’s a new twist to the Ikea Ottawa story. We were planning to buy the Malm 3-drawer anyway after work and found out the Malm 6-drawer Whacky Wednesday item was actually in stock.
So, don’t trust the online inventory completely and Ikea customer service is useless in this case. (When I called after lunch, the girl won’t bother checking the floor stock or internal system at all)
