The Indigo Love of Reading Community Response Fund is committing $1,000,000 in new funding to provide books and education resources for families experiencing poverty and other forms of marginalization during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through the Indigo Love of Reading Community Response Fund, the Foundation is dedicated to ensuring no child falls behind in reading due to a lack of resources. With schools across the country closed for the foreseeable future, children without access to books at home no longer have their school libraries to turn to. The Indigo Love of Reading Community Response Fund will provide books and education resources for families experiencing poverty and other forms of marginalization by partnering with non-profit organizations across Canada.
Who is eligible? Community-based non-profit organizations in Canada, currently serving high needs children/youth and their families.
