New $1.50 off coupon for any Kashi cereal product from Websaver.ca portal is available now. This Kashi cereal coupon is valid for a limited time only. There’s also a coupon for $1 off Kashi bars. These sometimes (although rarely) go on sale for $2, so if you use the coupon you’d get them for $1, which is an amazing price!

That being said don’t forget to read this article exposing Kashi cereal for the poison that it is before you buy any Kashi products.

Uh, calling it poison is a *little* inflammatory. Its a cereal. It contains soy. I wish you luck in finding any soy product that *isn’t* mostly GMO. Also can someone point me to any scientific evidence that GMOs are “poison”? You’re making it sound like they’re actually dangerous to eat. Now, whether they’re ethical or not, thats a different story.

And given that SmartCanucks regularly points us towards deals for everything ranging from disposable diapers (can we say landfills forever?) to fast food (obesity epidemic everyone?) to clothing manufacturers (factory fires/child labour/fair wages?) without making a single comment about whether they are ethical/good choices etc, but Kashi makes cereal containing GMOs (*gasp*) and its poison – its jumping on the social media bandwagon. Kashi is the enemy of the month and you guys got sucked right in there. Badly done.

Am I the only one who finds it really weird to post a deal and then say “By the way, this is poison”? You’ve never done that when you make a post about McDonald’s or candy bars.

Really?? you guys were just bashing this company… WTF?

  4. Lea says:

This site is an absolute joke. Stop judging people for the ‘poison’ they’re buying, and post the coupons like people want. If I want an ethics lesson, I’ll look elsewhere, thanks.

  5. Aprile says:

    Yeah, that’s pretty offensive.

  6. saver says:

seems rather odd that you are singling out this product as ‘poison’ and yet are posting the deal. there are many other posts with products that could be deemed much less healthy than this one, non?

I’m confused too cos same warning doesn’t follow all other Kelloggs products which are pretty much same or worse ‘poison’. Maybe it’s the way Kashi continues to be advertised and premium priced that’s offensive. I remember it being a big issue when Kelloggs bought them, all the hipsters made a big fuss and then stopped buying it, same with Burts bees, got sold to big conglomerate a while ago, waiting for the exposee article on that one too 🙂

  8. LOO says:

Yes this website is offensive at times!!!

  9. Leanne says:

This is a rubbish post with not very much thought put into it. WHY would you post a coupon and then afterwards post a link that declares Kashi as poison?

Keep opinionated posts off of Smartcanucks.

    interestingpost.

    “here’s a coupon, but it’s POISON!”

the same could be said for all the other processed foods that we have coupons for, but none of those blog posts include an expose on the food industry and it’s producers as a sidenote to the great coupon oppurtunity.

    pick a side.
