Lee Valley Canada Wants YOU To be Prepared for Next Years Roll Up The Rim To Win

I was browsing Lee Valley since they are offering free shipping for the next several days and I came across this gem. A Rim Roller!

This product makes it easy to check for prize statements hidden under the rims of paper coffee cups in various contests. Essentially a curved clip with two integral (covered) blades, it slices the cup rim twice (1-1/8″ apart) when pushed down, and an internal lip unrolls the paper edge when it’s pulled up. Push, pull and you’re done. 2″ high, 1-1/2″ wide, with an attached split-ring.

This is only for of course the hardcore Roll Up the Rim to Win enthusiast. Costing just $2.50 this might make a great gag gift for the hardcore Timmie’s drinker in your family.

🙂

My boss bought me one of these last year. It works great, the only problem is if the cup is a winner, the bit it pulls up is not wide enough and doesn’t contain all the winning information – it could do with being a bit wider.

  2. George says:

You can get these everywhere these days. Seen them today at Zellers

  3. jen says:

or you can save $2.50 by not being lazy enough to pull a coffee cup rim……

  7. candyland says:

I bought these as stocking stuffers last year and all 3 of my guys did not like them. Said it didn’t really work that well. They sit in my junk drawer now.

  8. Patty says:

Cool! Although it does take the fun out of rolling it up with your teeth and then handing the cashier a nice gooey winning rim. Maybe it will also cut down on the spread of swine flu. LOL Thanks Sally.

  9. Lazy Jane says:

Christmas is coming up. And Christmas is all about giving crap especially to people you don’t care about (aka damn secret santa). This will go well. Keep listing cheap crap that are useless but meet the price requirement.

  11. Annie76 says:

This is the first Dragon’s Den product that I have actually seen out in the wild. I don’t buy coffee at Tim Hortons, but still kind of cool nonetheless.

if you guys want more useless junk/stocking stuffers for xmas take a look on the source website. They had these really cute glitter lava lamps on sale for $2.96 that you could pay online for and pickup in the store. Some stores might still have them now actually.

Here is one other computer usb lamp for $2.96: http://www.thesource.ca/estore/product.aspx?language=en-CA&catalog=Online&category=ComputerGadgets&product=6311715

    Happy junk collecting 🙂 lol

  24. Nelia says:

Love it!!!! but would not buy it. Takes the whole fun of having a hard time unrolling it….and seeing people having a hard time also….lol

  25. abbasgirl says:

Empty the cup. Fold the rim together into a line and squeeze the two ends of it. You now have a rim that’s easy to roll up without using your teeth and you’ve saved yourself 2.50 and the embarrassment of using this ridiculous gadget in public.

  26. I get where you are coming from. Having done my time in the self storage game myself I’ve observed more crazy dilemmas then I’d like to mention. Thanks for the fantastic post.

  27. thank you for your article,My problem has been resolved.
