Didn’t get much shopping done over the weekend due to the ice storm? You are not alone and many stores are announcing extended hours today and tomorrow to help shoppers get those last minute items.
- Select Target stores open til midnight
- Select Sears stores open til midnight today and from 6am tomorrow (click here to see a list of excluded stores)
- Some malls open early tomorrow
I am sure many more will follow, so check with your local malls and stores for extended hours (if they have power back, I know some are still closed).
Extended hours at a mall would make sense if the mall did not have a flat roof and was used as a warming centre. Otherwise, spare a thought for retail workers-transit in Toronto has a been a mess lately and the workers might prefer to be home.
Hamilton only has two warming centres open to residents and one centre closes at 4pm.
