McDonalds Canada Free Coffee

I just saw a sign for this and I had no clue what they were advertising on april 20th. It saif fresh start April 20th. I guess they’re being careful. This is great for me. I dont like hashbrown but I always get the meal and eat it anyways. Now I can just get a mcmuffin and a FREE coffee. Thanks for making sense of this for me:)

McD, now has very good coffee, as well, their muffins
    are delicious.

  4. Marla says:

McDonald’s coffee tastes the best to me, it’s not watery and it’s not over-sweetened like Tin Hortons. I always get a McDonald’s coffee whenever I can, even if Tim Horton’s is having that Roll Up The Rim chance for free coffees.

  5. Allen says:

McDonalds coffee is much better than Tim Horton’s, also a medium at McDonalds is much bigger in size than Timmy’s…more value for your money.

  7. ed says:

So how does this work exactly? Can you just go to any McD’s and ask them for a free cup from 5a – 10:30a? Or do you have to buy something specific or buy anything to be eligible for a free cup?

  8. ewok says:

    Nope it’s just FREE

  9. poop shit says:

duhh tard, its FREEE, but mc donalds coffee tastes like poo, but ill still drink it!

  10. bagpipe says:

McDonals coffee is very good, a nice change from Timmy’s which I drink a ton of. The small coffee is totally free, no purchase of anything else required.

  11. Katnip says:

Sorry, you get what you pay for. Even free it’s just bad

My Tims is fast friendly and nectar of the gods Hello 5AM

  12. fab says:

McDonald’s has the best coffee available (from a fast food/donut shop), period. Sure beats the watered down tar Tim’s serves.

When was the last time you tried a coffee at McDonalds? I drink approx. 6-8 cups a day, have for over 20 years so I feel I’m somewhat qualified to comment on a good cup of coffee, which surprisingly you can get from McDonalds. I’m not a fan of their food and I know they use to serve pure crap as coffee years ago, but they have made an effort to provide decent coffee and I think they have succeeded.

  14. Fantoo says:

Agree with bagpipe…..Mcd’s used to have the WORST coffee around but they have made significant improvements to the brew they serve over the past couple years. If you’ve not tried it recently you really should and since they are flogging a small for free, now is a good time! I’m sure I’ll be taking advantage of this freebie!

Not a fan of their food but do enjoy their java!

  15. linny says:

Just to let everyone know it’s only the small that is FREE. Not any other sizes. It’s new coffee brand they are doing. I think the last one was better.

  16. hellz says:

I ordered a small decaf and they made me pay for it (after I stood in line 10 minutes, plus the guy didn’t know what he was doing and then I had to wait while they showed him how to brew it). I said isn’t it free, and the girl said no it’s only the regular coffee that’s free. Anyone else have to pay for decaf?

  17. Adnan says:

McDonalds Coffee is pretty good. They’re actually taking some of Starbucks sales away. Stay away from Tim Hortons… they’re drive-thru’s are a nightmare!!

I wish we had more Dunkin’ Dunut stores here…

  18. My husband has his morning coffee in McDonald’s on his break. I blogged about this on my Frugal Freebies blog and gave you the credit!

  19. Ty says:

At the McDonalds where I work we give free decaf and reg coffee. As well, you can get the free coffee in any size, you just have to ask. That’s the company policy for this promotion, so I’m not sure what those other stores are doing.

  20. wladex says:

Free and good too. Well done McDonals

  21. warcraft says:

McDonald’s first came out with their “premium” blend of coffee in 2003. How about eveyone wakes up and smells the coffee cause its been the same thing for the past 6 years. Perhaps free makes it taste better?

  22. Jim McQuillin says:

Nothing in this world is free. The promotion article in the paper was great but….

McDonald’s instructed the staff to key the items into the till as separate items so the loss would not be significant. For instance the burrito meal deal typically costs $4.69 plus tax to $5.30. Keying the burritos, hash brown, coffee then subtracting the $1.25 coffee and adding tax comes to $5.18.

No amount of talking to the manager gets more than a $0.12 savings to the customer.

By the way the coffee didn’t change, they are promoting their new cups….

    Great promotion McD’s.
Dedicated breakfast customer for over 20 years.

  23. cedman says:

Tried the new coffee most of last week and to my palate it compares about the same with Tim Horton’s which is my regular. Like their new cups too though I prefer the colour tone of Tim Horton’s cup. Esthetics do count a lot but …esthetics aside, Well done McDonald..for a good flavoured coffee.

  24. Hilda says:

Enjoyed my free cup of coffee. I thought it tasted good. The only thing is I would feel weird going through the McDonald’s drive thru just for a coffee.
