For those of you who don’t know me, I’m from the London Ontario area. This past Thursday I went and saw Chantal Kreviazuk at Centennial Hall. Opening for Chantal was London native Meaghan Smith. What a wonderful surprise! Her voice was excellent and her only band member with her was her husband! They both played guitar and the music was heavenly. A mix of today’s easy listening and 20’s and 30’s music.

Click here to view her website, I highly suggest reading her biography, animator to musician!
Like her music? You can pre order her cd here at Amazon.ca for only 10.49!
Oh and btw Chantal also put on a wonderful performance! I would definitely recommend seeing her live! Another Canadian to be proud of!
Her website is here: http://www.meaghansmith.com/
Sally, the website link takes you to a youtube video 🙂
Oppsie I fixed the link, don’t know how I managed that one haha!
very classy voice, reminds me of Nora Jones. I liked it.
I agree, very Nora Jones-y…I liked it too. Might buy the CD, thanks for posting.
Why is this on the site? Is this a deal? Let’s avoid flooding a great website with promotions that have no place here.
So glad you had fun Sally!! 🙂
@rhubarb
she’s promoting a Canadian Singer, why not?!
OMG!!! I was at the same concert! Fourth row, right up front. No joke. I’m so surprised to see this entry. Meaghan Smith was pretty good, not as good as Chantal though! Chantal was such a pro, so smooth at chatting/joking with the audience and transitioning to singing. (I didn’t expect her to be that funny and the personal stories were so cute…Fu**Da*nS**t!) Chantal was sweet and came out and did an encore. Leaving on a Jet Plane! 🙂
Meaghan Smith kind of seemed Taylor Swifty to me, minus the country sound and a little more amateur of course. A lot of her songs were about exboyfriends and she does have a very cutesy voice, interesting sound.
Lol Rhubarb, SC has always posted the occasional off topic, Id suggest just skipping the topics you dont want to read. As even the owner of this site posts common interest posts as well. Have a nice night.
Chantal Kreviazuk was at Centennial Hall??? I really, really wish they would publicize their concerts more. I had no idea, and I love her music.
Same thing happened with Jesse Cook a while ago. Just happened to be walking by the venue and saw it on the front of the building. Luckily we didn’t miss that one.
Brand new Meaghan Smith video!
While this subject can be very touchy for most people, my opinion is that there has to be a middle or common ground that we all can find. I do appreciate that youve added relevant and intelligent commentary here though. Thank you!
