For those of you who have never been members of the National Bank, you might be intreated in learning about this new offer they are giving to new members who open a bank account with them. Until October 31st, you can sign-up for a new chequing account and other financial services with National Bank and you will be able to grab a $350 cashback!
There are three different steps that you must do in order to claim this cashback, but they are some of the simplest steps that you would ever be required from a bank; plus, there’s no requirement to retain a certain balance in your bank account, so you could essentially keep it as low as you need to in order to claim this offer!
The steps to receive this cashback are broken into three sections of savings that will bring you to a total of $350, should you complete all the steps:
- sign up for a chequing account (Access Plus, Direct Access, Professional or Virtuoso) plus online banking and make at least one transaction in your new account (get $200 cashback)
- sign up for a credit card with National Bank (get $100 cashback)
- sign up for a High Interest Savings Account (get $50 cashback)
The cashback steps must be completed within 60 days of activating your first account and you must also meet with a representative at a retail branch so as to verify eligibility.
Your money, should you follow all of the steps and also meet with an advisor, will be deposited into your account by no later than February 6, 2018.

This is a shameful “promotion” truly preys upon people who think somehow they might actually get cash. By the time you’ve signed up for the three parts of this promotion and waited up to 60 days for the “cash” they’ve got you hooked as a client. However if you actually invested your money you’d be way better off. Steer clear until you’ve read the fine print. After reading the fine print you’ll run in the other direction.
