Check your local GoodLife Fitness club too…..every year for the past few years, they have coupons that allow “buy one admission, get one free”!
Thanks for the tip benji 🙂
This show is awesome. I look forward to it every year–freebie overload!
Here’s a tip: bring some of your personal address stickers to put on all the contest entries, it will save you scrambling for a pen and all that time filling the cards out!
Ginger, you’re so smart!
My pleasure, Benji!
I have learned this through many years of attendance at the show.
That tip about the personal address stickers is the best one ever! I am going to do that at all trade shows etc I just love it!!!!!
I was there today, unfortunately for only 4 hours. I do recommend getting there early (South parking lot was full by 11am, it started at noon). It was crazy busy but a lot of fun. We received gift bags as we walked in (mine included a 454g box of triscuits, sample of Peak Frean’s coconut lime cookies, etc) and there are bags available from some of the booths. We made up our own labels that not only included addresses and phone numbers but our e-mail addys as well. This saved a lot of time. We each came away with two bags full of stuff, and had we had more time to go up and down each aisle we probably would have had two more. There also merchants selling things at “reduced” prices.
While there are lots of food and drink samples you may want to bring bottled water or other drinks as they are very overpriced (my can of Diet Coke cost me $2).
My favourite freebie is the sperm stress-ball from the IVF people…but I have a sick sense of humour. 🙂
PS if you have the $5 discount coupon for two people, use it, costs $23 to get in. We had a 3rd person with us and loudly asked the line if anyone else was also a single so our friend could take advantage of the discount. Then we got a spare coupon from someone else. You can also just pay $12 online for the tickets if you don’t want to go through that hassle.
OK I wish I could go back and edit. Sorry about this. Admission for 2 people with the coupon is $23. Tickets bought on-site are $14 each.
the show was awesome. I got lots of freebies as well.
I had teeth whitening done by Glitzz at the show and now I cannot track them. They charged me twice of the service. Once in November 2008 and again in January 2009. Could you please send me their contact info. I am not getting a response from the phone # I have.
Thanks.
i’m heading over to the show on saturday. Doors open at 10am. What time should i get there to ensure i get the freebie/goodie bag of free stuff? An hour before? Is getting there half hour before doors open enough?
an hour ahead will be lots of time, a little ahead will put you in the top 50,,,a half hour before may put you several hundred people behind,,,the bags today had box of crackers, a couple magazines, coupons, nothing exciting, on the way out we got a spinbrush toothbrush and a small bag of chips,,,the booths were giving away lots of cloth bags, pens, keychains etc not a lot of stuff like last year, the food area still gives away plenty to eat while your there. Toothpaste samples you had to donate something, etc… and just as a reminder no carts or bags on wheels allowed, but they do give you free baggage check to leave them outside the show
Have fun
I have heard that there is no calorie counting on the EODD. Is this true?
