M.A.C’s Viva Glam initiative just got a little hotter! Following in the footsteps of fabulous faces like Lady Gaga and Fergie, the M.A.C AIDS Fund has named Ricky Martin and Nicki Minaj as the newest spokespeople to represent the 2012 VIVA GLAM campaign launching in February 2012!
I can’t wait to see Minaj’s new shades! It will probably be a barbie and ken shade duo! I really love her crazy style. I’m headed to see her concert this month.

I guess you’d have to listen to current music to know who she is. In one year she has become one of the top most successful female rappers of all time. She has had the most top 50’s in her new career then any other female rapper.

Ricky Martin? He doesn’t wear makeup. Well, maybe for his concerts and photo shoots, since all performers/singers do that, but I doubt he’s globbing on the lipstick and mascara in his personal time.

Ricky MArin is there as he is a gay man who supports the AIDS Foundation! I heard from a MAC artist tonight at the counter that it will most likely be the shade Pink Friday which Nicki made for MAC when her album came out last fall and it was only released every Friday online for a month so it kinda created a bit of a frenzy so i was assuming MAC would re-promote it. As for Ricky’s shade, i’m thinking something with red in it since he’s all about the latin flavour 😛
ugh… i’ll pass on the minaj. her ‘music’ is garbage, and she tries much too hard while making said garbage.
The Lady Gaga/Cyndi Lauper campaign of 2010 was the best in my opinion.. RuPaul’s campaign back in the 90s was great too.
I don’t like nor dislike Nicki Minaj herself.. but I’m not a fan of her music (or any rap music for that matter). But I still look forward to seeing what the ad campaign photos will look like. They always put a lot of work into them!
