Niagara Falls Marriot Fallsview Canada $119 Special Package Offer

marriott_canada

This was a nice surprise in my mailbox today. Especially since I can use an overnight away from the kids. I swear they are bringing every bug from school this year. Just getting over the tummy flu now 🙁

Anyways the Marriott Fallsview has gotten together with Travel Zoo again and is offering a special one night package for only $119.

Here are the details:

•One night in a Riverview room
•Buffet breakfast for two, a $44 value
•Dinner credit, a $40 value
•Two casino and attraction shuttle passes, a $21 value
Fallsview rooms and Whirlpool suites are also discounted. Two Saturday dates, Feb. 26 and March 5, are available for $119.
Blackout date: March 18
Book by March 11.

You can book this deal by clicking here.

Whats the hotel like?  It’s one of my favourite hotels next to the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The Marriott Fallsview has a wonderful steam room, the beds are super comfy, and Trip Advisor rates them number 6 out of 134 hotels in Niagara.

This is a good deal, but I prefer the one at the Embassy Suites. It’s almost identical but with a few small differences, there’s a manager’s reception in the evening which includes drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and snacks. They also provide you with $45 to the Keg AND you get a whirlpool suite overlooking the Falls! Also includes breakfast the next morning! We’re going this weekend and I can’t wait!

Honestly, I think its disgusting you can smoke in the Embassy hotel. Its one of the few hotels in Ontario that you still can.

The Marriott as a chain has never (knock on wood) let me down. I do know its more expensive but you can upgrade to the other rooms.

Friends of ours did this deal at the Marriott, but they preferred the one at the Oakes hotel:

We all went as a group for the Oakes deal two weekends ago and loved it. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent, with lots of choices; and the breakfast wasn’t too bad either. Depending on the type of room you get at the Oakes, it’s practically the same price as the Marriott deal but you get more value for your meals.

Looks nice Andrea, but its a lot more for the weekend date we chose.

We had a similar deal from Travelzoo with the Marriot just this past weekend. Personally I wouldn’t go there again, for the money you’re better off going with another hotel’s package. The hotel is clean but dated though the river view rooms are amazing. The shuttle comes every half hour and the pick up/drop off is on the side of the hotel, where many a taxi likes to hang out in hopes you get tired of waiting for the shuttle to come. The biggest disappointment was the food voucher; we were “lucky” enough to have $75 credit for dinner but that doesn’t go far at The Terrapin: a surf & turf entree is $69! (if you went with Embassy, for example, you get way more out of the $45 Keg voucher) Breakfast was good and the spa is nice but very pricey. Actually, the entire hotel is over priced, one drink at the lobby bar is $10 (double the price than at the casino, or anywhere else for that matter).
