Norton 360

Norton is offering Norton 360 for up to 3 computers for $15.99 right now. This is a promo via Adobe and the price will show as $19.99, however, use the coupon code USNORTON20 to save another 20% off and bring the price down to $15.99.

The prices on Norton are in US dollars, but this is available to Canadians.

I know there are free options out there, but if you are interested in Norton this is a good price on the 360 version which usually goes on sale for about $40.

No price is low enough for me to even consider Norton. In fact, you couldn’t pay me enough to install that on a PC.

As an IT professional, do so for well over ten years, I can firmly say that Norton should be banned.

The best options are the lightest installers and install for free. Microsoft’s Security Essentials is a strong runner, and so is AVG. Neither cost a dime, and you don’t even have to lift yourself from your chair to download and install them.

While I’m not a huge fan of Norton myself, saying it should be banned is over the top.

It does consistently seem to rank fairly high with independent ranking/testing and some people do like it.

Resource usage is an issue at times with Norton products, but I’ve also seen installations of AVG and MSE with problems with resource usage and viruses slipping by.

At the end of the day no product is 100% and most people can figure out what works best for them.
