Looks like we did not have to wait long for a flyer sneak peek for the upcoming Shoppers Drug Mart redemption.  Forum member krazytwacy has shared a copy of the upcoming flyer for Western Canada, a nice surprise for those of you out west who do not get many early flyers.  For those in Ontario and other provinces, Western Canada often has slightly higher pricing, especially for paper products and food items but the items on sale are usually very similar across the country.

Bonus redemption is valid on Saturday only, get $100 for 50,000 Optimum points or $200 for 95,000 Optimum points.  The two day sale items start on Sunday, so cannot be combined with redemption.  If you do not have enough points to redeem, or want to start building your balance up after redeeming, you can earn 18,500 Optimum points when you spend $75 or more on almost anything in the store Sunday to Tuesday.

While it has been rumoured for a while, many of our forum members were told that you can redeem for more at bonus redemption next Saturday while they shopped at the Super Sale today.  My favourite cashier shared some details with me

If you live in a city and are expecting a parcel, you may find your mail carrier knocking on your door on the weekend as Canada Post has brought back weekend delivery to help keep up with the mail volumes.

For letters and cards, you need to mail by December 17th for mail going to another province, December 18th for same province and December 21st for local mail.  Mail dates are not guaranteed though, and there have been complaints on the forums of regular mail taking 2 weeks across the country so you may want to send a few days early.

For parcels, regular parcel mail must be sent by December 11th.  If you have a Venture One card, you can send a couple of days later with Expedited or wait until December 22nd for Xpresspost.
