Great news! Shoppers Drug Mart now gives Shoppers Optimum Points on Medications and Pharmacy items. We found about this from our awesome reader Tamara V. who sent the following message:

I just got off the phone with Shoppers Drug Mart and as of August 1, 2014 you are able to get the points again on meds like before! If the pharmacist does not they are to call optimum and verify as some stores are not in the loop yet, just know this is for British Columbia.

If you live in other provinces please contact Shoppers and confirm that optimum points on meds are valid at your pharmacy too and leave a comment below to let other SmartCanuckers know! 😀

Here is something to keep an eye out for while shopping! Look for specially marked Almay Smart Shade makeup for the opportunity to try it for free. It’s not often there is a free item after coupons at Shoppers Drug Mart, but here is one to take advantage of in the upcoming flyer. The Pharmaprix flyer for the week of August the 9th to the 15th has Dove deodorant advertised for 2for $4. There is a printable coupon for $2 off the purchase of any Dove deodorant, which can be found here. This is a SmartSource coupon, so you will be able to print two coupons per computer.

This is a Pharmaprix ad, so it’s likely that this will be the price in the Shoppers Drug Mart flyer as well. Also, note that the ad does specify the single price of $2 each, underneath where it says 2/$4, so you should have no problem price matching at Target or Walmart if you prefer to purchase the deodorant there.

From August the 6th to the 12th, Giant Tiger Canada has Lactantia Cream in the 500ml format on sale for $1. They frequently have the Lactantia Cream on sale for this price, and $1 is already a great deal, but there is a tear pad coupon that you can use to get the cream for only 25 cents. Earlier this year, there was a tear pad coupon available for 75 cents off the purchase of Lactantia Cream 500ml or 1L. You can see a scan of this coupon here. Use the coupon and get the cream for only 25 cents. Again, this is the Quebec flyer, so hopefully the deal will be the same across the country.
