Mango has been a staple in many European malls for decades now. Mango opened its first store on Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona, Spain in 1984 and now has over 2.500 stores world-wide.

Although Mango products have been sold at The Bay for a few years now, Canada clearly missed having proper Mango stores. This was until recently when the official launch of Mango’s return to Canada began with its flagship store in Yorkdale Shopping Centre, which spans a whopping 5,000 square feet of retail space (Now open, if you haven’t already checked it out).

The good news is Mango’s launch was a success and they are opening 7 more stores this year in Toronto.

With the sad news that all Nordstrom stores in Canada are shutting down, many Canadians are hoping for Zellers to open in its place. Others would like to see Halloween costume stores and we’re all curious as to what ends up opening!

HBC is already planning on reopening Zellers stores across Canada but they were going to start by opening them within The Bay. Here is the new Zellers Instagram page. I personally would love to see Zellers back in our malls and with Nordstrom shutting down this is HBC’s chance to get some good real estate. HBC please do it!

Nordstrom is closing all 13 stores in Canada. Nordstrom currently has six Nordstrom stores and seven Nordstrom Rack stores. This also means that all 2,500 Canadian Nordstrom employees will sadly lose their jobs. Nordstrom opened in Canada in 2014 and is shutting down due to declining sales and inability to become profitable.

Nordstrom will finalize store closures by end of June. So for us deal hunters, expect some deals from now till then. Don’t forget to stop by your local Nordstrom Canada store and check out their clearance sale but watch out because their prices were too high to begin with.

I personally feel Nordstrom’s closure is because of their ridiculously priced items. There was no way they could compete with sites like Shein and Temu.com who sell items for a fraction of the price.

Great news for all McDonalds lovers out there! McDonalds Canada will be launching the new Chicken Big Mac starting from next week. The McDonalds Canada Chicken Big Mac was created by the Toronto Chef Jeff Anderson. I’m excited to try the Chicken Big Mac 😋. I wonder how the Big Mac sauce flavour will blend in with the McChicken patty, but I’m sure it’ll be delightfully delicious.

After a long wait, McDonald’s is finally launching the official Chicken Big Mac starting on Tuesday, March 7.
