As some of you guys probably already know, iPhone 4 has been announced today and will be launched on June 24 in 5 countries: US, France, Germany, UK and Japan. Canada gets it a month later in July with 18 other countries. I really don’t understand how three European countries and Japan get the iPhone on launch day and Canada which is closer to the US  doesn’t! I’m guessing it’s probably because of our unreliable wireless provider Rogers that might need more time to prepare or something.

In the US iPhone 4 will retail at $199 for the 16GB model and $299 FOR THE 32GB one. That’s of course with a 3 year 2 year contract.

Once the iPhone 4 makes it to Canada will you be buying one?

Hi all! Here are Costco’s instant savings coupons for this week. I was looking at the Secret deodorant (3-pack) and Crest toothpaste (4-pack) and I thought to myself, before joining SC I probably would have bought those items, but now that I know better as an SC’er, I wouldn’t pay more than $2 for 3 Secrets or 4 Crests when using coupons during a sale somewhere else. Just a thought.

I know sun protection products are not cheap, but it’s a must for summer. Shoppers Drug Mart has Coppertone on sale for $7.99 from June 5-11, 2010 . I’ve seen these priced as high as $11.99 so $6.99 with coupon is  a pretty good price. This coupon doesn’t expire til April 1, 2011 so there’s plenty of time to use it.

With summer finally here, a lot of us are getting outside and in the garden.  I know I have tons of work to do in mine.  Home Depot is making it a bit cheaper to have a beautiful garden this summer.  From June 4-7 you can buy one get one FREE on an annual plant of your choice (excluding hanging baskets).  I know that I can really use this one and I’m sure a lot of you out there can too.  Plants can be expensive so any way to get them for less is great!

Today is apparently National “Hug Your Cat Day”. It’s the official day for people who have cats to show that they love them. It is a proven fact that hugs from animals lower a person’s blood pressure and decrease stress. So go ahead, grab your kitty or kitties and give them a big hug, some extra grooming, and a little catnip. My cat is getting a haircut tomorrow, I bet she will just loooooove that 😉

McDonald’s in the United States first  recalled Shrek glasses and now Canadian McDonald’s have followed. The recall is because of the cadmium in the paint. No word yet as to if there will be a refund for the $1.99 that consumers paid for these limited edition glasses but it is best that you stop using yours right away. I was sorry to read this as I thought they would be great to collect.
