Payless ShoeSource Canada – Buy One Get One Half Price Until November 25 & Question

Payless ShoeSource has their usual buy one get one 50% off excluding green tagged every day value shoes sale until November 25th.

Payless has this sale so often, normally I would not blog it, but it gives me an opportunity to ask a question I had yesterday.  Someone at work was wearing new heels yesterday and mentioned how comfortable they were, I asked where they got them and she said Payless.  She is usually a high end store shopper so it surprised me, but she said they came recommended by her sister in law.  They have so much cushioning in the sole and don’t look “cheap”.  What is your best deal from Payless? Do you buy shoes there? Have they lasted for you?

I shop at Payless out of necessity. Women’s size 12 is not an easy size to find.

I’ve almost never bought shoes at Payless as they usually seem to be such poor quality (non-leather) and super uncomfortable because they are so cheaply made. That being said, I have lucked out a few times on slip on running shoes for myself and a pair of dressy black shoes for my daughter. Normally I don’t go cheap for kids shoes as I think it’s so important for their developing feet that they wear well constructed footwear but I was recently needing a pair of black dress shoes and couldn’t find anything that fit my daughter right elsewhere. I finally looked at payless and found a really great pair of “smart fit” brand black dress shoes that fit really well and they were super soft and flexible material. I think they were something crazy like $14.99 and considering she’ll probably wear them for only two or three seasonal parties and then have outgrown them, I was really happy to find them at such a great price!

I recently bought a pair of riding boots from Payless and I love them! Super comfortable and I don’t think they look “cheap”.

I occasionally shop there, although now that we have moved out of a major city, the drive in is an hour. I have some pairs that are crap and uncomfortable, usually the man made material ones. I do have a favourite pair that are over 7 years old. Loved the brown pair so much I ran back and got the black too. Black fits a lot tighter, not sure why and the leather isn’t as soft. Anyhow, love those brown shoes. My MAIN reason for shopping there….I’m a size 11 and they are one of the only affordable stores with a decently large selection!

Another big footed person here! I’ve gotten amazingly comfy leather dress shoes there, and leather runners – less expensive, not always ‘cheap’…Son often got shoes there when his feet were growing…

The majority of the shoes I buy there have been disposable, just for one season and then fallen apart, but that’s what I paid for! I have lucked out a few times, with amazingly confortable shoes that I loved. I’m also a size 5, so its nice to go to my section and not worry about if they’ll fit. My best pair is one I still wear now, that I bought probably 4 or 5 years ago, cute brown cloth covered pumps. These had a decent 3″ heel but were so comfortable I once wore them on a 25 min walk to a downtown bar, then danced the whole night, and then walked all the way home! No blisters, no sore feet the next day. The fabric has completely worn out in a few sections…. I’m currently trying to figure out a way to revive them so I can keep wearing them for another 5 years!

Most of my shoes come from Payless. Maybe they look cheap to other people, but they fit my budget and they fit my feet! I have had a disappointment or two, but mostly my Payless shoes have lasted for years and been a really good investment.

I am not a fan of Payless shoes. I find them over priced for the quality you get… you can get similar shoes at Walmart for less! I’d rather find a pair of shoes on sale at a higher end shoe store… eg I got real leather boots at an ALDO outlet for 40$… and they are way nicer!

I bought a pair of black, leather-look knee high boots with a stiletto heel about eight years ago and only this year has the fake leather started to peel away from the edges. They are very comfortable and I wear them all fall and winter. I think I paid about $40 for them.

I buy most of my shoes from payless because they carry wide feet sizes. 🙂

  11. Ohbother says:

Only place I can find wide shoes that actually fit.

I bought the Fioni Kutzie Knot Pump from there to wear to a friends wedding. It was a last minute purchase b/c I couldn’t find a single pair of shoes to wear. They are phenomenal! I have shoes 5X the cost of these that are nowhere near this comfortable or as durable as them. This is the link to them directly (if I am allowed to link if not then please remove the link): http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10270&skuId=092264050&productId=70734&lotId=092264&category=&catdisplayName=Womens

Does anyone know how to get onto their text message promotions? I used to get their text messages but I don’t anymore.

Now I know why Payless is often out of the size 11 and wide sizes. But I am glad other people are buying so Payless will bring them in so I can occasionally get shoes to fit me.

  15. Temmy says:

With a size 12 wide foot life can be very tough trying to find shoes that fit.
I can only thank Payless for being my source for affordable shoes for now
At times i can order online at evans.co.uk but payless remains my only walk in and buy option.
