PC Optimum Members Say Their Points Went Missing

Apparently, many people are still having issues with the new PC Optimum program. Many members are complaining that some of their points have got stolen / went missing. Loblaw are looking into the problems and said that they take any sign of “unusual activity very seriously”.

Have any of your points gone missing?

I haven’t had any points go missing (yet) but anytime I use the PC Optimum app instore and have the cashier scan the barcode, the points NEVER get added. Each time I have to submit a points inquiry to get my points….and they just award me whatever points I ask for without question. I most recently was owed 1000 points for a Campbell’s Chunky Soup promo, and then ended up giving me 1000 + 1058 points and all I bought was one can!

Ive given up on this program Im missing points for Feb 7th, Mar 7th, March 21st. They scan my card but no points given for these days. It may not be much but it still should give me something. Im STILL NOT GETTING ANYTHING regarding Shoppers. Very, very disappointing :((

No problems at all with the points- i had a ton too. But had a No Frills cashier yell at me over my $25 gift card. I was using it to top up my free groceries and it dosn’t keep a balance like a regular gift card. She got mad becasue I had used it twice before and didn’t keep a running talley on the exact amount of my gift card. Beware.

120,000 points of mine were used in a province in which I don’t live. I called them a month ago, was told I’d get a response in ten days and they take it seriously. Nothing since then except an email telling me to change my password.

I had 170,000 points redeemed using my phone’s new card in Quebec. Thats a little devastating. I waited the 45 minutes to finally talk to a person and he was doubtful that I was hacked, wasn’t too impressed. Finally after being on hold a while he says yes okay we agree we’ll start the investigation, and although they said 10 business days its now been a month. I waited a long time yesterday on chat only to be told it’s still under review and they’ve been overwhelmed with these requests. Awesome 🙄

New program is very confusing as to whether you received proper points and for what purchase. On recent RCSS receipts, they show a somewhat complete summary of points acquired but no longer name the specific item or category. Yet others are separate and show right below the item listed on the receipt. PC Optimum needs to make fixes to these issues.

I left an inquiry about exactly same thing to PC Optimum but got no reply.
It is annoying I can’t see what items I received points from.

  7. Brooke Walters says:

Yes I have not received all points due me. I receive some of them but some are just not on my store receipt. I put in a complaint for the ones missing but do not get a reply. I give up. I never had a problem with my optimum card at shoppers drug mart only since they merged with PC.

  8. Ilona says:

on any points program, not a great idea to hold a large amount of points
easy to get hacked or easy to lose them
    the PCO is a mess
they are going to lose a lot of people

  9. Samster says:

I wish this merge never happened…. or should have launched it when the system was complete.
Having errors for the first week was understandable but now it’s been nearly 2 months and I feel like we are on trial system.

I had 67,000+ points. A cashier just cancelled my pc plus and instructed me to phone pc optimum so they can transfer my points. I called 7 times, waited more than an hour, emailed them more than 30 times. All i got in reply was an email telling me they will take care of it in a week. Then got an email again telling me that they took care of it, but i never got my points back. I still have the pc plus weekly email stating my points, and got a couple of receipts with points of more than 60,000 but no one from loblaws is serious and responsible enough to contact me even after i gave them my contact info and email address. I wish someone could start suing them and i’ll surely back up whoever she or he maybe.

Also went to the superstore i usually shop to, but they couldn’t help either. I’m really disappointed with loblaws.

I also have trouble in getting points from my loaded offers. This also happened before the conversion to PC optimum but their response at that time was very good. But now the response is extremely poor. May be they ran into a lot of missing point requests now. At one time, no response after 4 days and then another no response after 2 days. Finally I need to call (of course long wait time) to get the points back.

I received an email from [email protected] yesterday in which there is a coupon “Show this coupon in-store to get 20x the PC Optimum points when you purchase any milk (2L or 4L)” and the coupon is valid from Mar 24 to Mar 30.
In both the email and the coupon it did not mention anything that this is only valid to my account.
So my brother showed this coupon to cashier and the cashier tried to follow the steps but failed to get the points to his account.
I am not sure if it will make any different if I use my card to pay or it is another bug in their system.

people, do not complain if you do not like it don’t use it. It is a great reward program with nice benefits which I never had issues. If you do not take proper precautions then do not blame them. Food basics Freshco had no rewards but at least they are offering you something!

    • Ang says:

Are you kidding? What kind of a response is that? I’m pretty sure if you had a ton of points and someone hacked your account and stole them you would be upset too!
