PC Plus Eat More Stars Event Now Available In More Stores

Eat-More-Guiding-Stars-EN

This offer was originally shown in Maxi, Loblaws and SuperStore flyers but has now been expanded to all stores participating in President’s Choice Guiding Stars program (including No Frills).

guiding starsIf you are not familiar with Guiding Stars, President’s Choice stores put 1-3 stars beside the price on items that are healthier.  Most processed foods will have no stars, but the healthier a food is (most nutrient dense per 100 calories) the more stars it will receive.

This week, President’s Choice is helping you make better choices by offering two PC Plus offers on these healthier foods.  It has long been a complaint of the PC Plus loyalty program that you do not earn on the regular foods in your cart, just the random ones PC picks that are not always personalized, but this week, you will receive:

  • 10 PC Plus points for each 1 star rated product
  • 30 PC Plus points for each 2 star rated product
  • 60 PC Plus points for each 3 star rated product

On top of that, they have an offer for 6,000 PC Plus points (worth $6) when you spend $20 or more on produce (offer includes fruit, vegetables, packaged salads, refrigerated dressings, dips, or juices).

These offers must be loaded separately to your regular PC Plus offers.  Click here to go to Guiding Stars and choose your store.  Once you log in, the offer for 10-60 PC Plus points per item will be activated, but you must click load on the 6,000 point offer to add it to your card.

I am confused. I went to guiding stars, logged in, assed the 20$ in produce gives you so much. Then I went shopping. I didn’t buy 20$ in produce because I didn’t need that much but has several star products in my cart. I didn’t get any points for starred products at all.

Why do customers have to load all or any offers for that matter? Surely, it could be done automatically.

On 3 occasions I have had the checkout woman snicker and tell me not to waste my time with those points telling me they are a collosal waste of time. I thought they must be pretty bad if 3 employees have offered this… But i played along and now understand how right they were

I certainly do not earn as many points as Optimum, but have mad more in PC Plus than Air Miles on regular shopping
