We made calendars for the family last year through Staples, wow was it a lot of work. Really crappy system. Hope photolab.ca’s is more user friendly.

It’s the same interface as costco.ca’s calendar creator. Costco has a sale on right now – their calendars are $14.49 each.

One thing I learned about Costco.ca’s site is that although it says it’ll remember your dates for next year (so you don’t have to re-enter birthdays and such), it won’t. That feature is only available on the US website. I spent 45 mins on the phone with them the other day only to discover they don’t offer it on their Canadian site. I told them they should take the advertisement off their website as it’s false advertising. Now I have to enter in all my dates (and photos for each birthday) again 🙁

I had a horrible experience last year when I ordered a calendar through photolab.ca. I placed all my pictures in and checked it many times to make sure it was right. When I picked it up the picture on the cover was wrong, there was a month with a picture but no calendar and vise versa on another page. I brought it in for a re-do and they said they shipped it back but a month later I got the same calendar back!! The customer service was really bad and they were blaming me for the mistakes. I’m sure it was an isolated incident be never again for me!!

I participated in this same deal for the past two years with photolab.ca.
I didn’t have any problems with getting what I wanted. Pictures were where they were supposed to be. Last year they update the paper quality to the calendar which was really great. Only problem is when it got to October, the calendar started to curl. This calendar didn’t offer any notations for birthdays. It came with the standard holidays.

I am trying to take advantage of this deal right now but am having problems. I’m checking out and it hasn’t reduced the price – it’s full price, instead of half. Do you need a coupon code? I can’t seem to find one and I don’t want to put my credit card number in with the wrong pricing. Thanks!

ME TOO! I have a huge headache trying to order these online. There is no promo code listed, and it’s coming up full price. I tried calling, and no one at the store could help me. What is going on with Superstore??? Do they want people to order from them or not!!?!?! I’m so frustrated!

  8. DL says:

I’ve tried emailing them twice and no answer. This is the first time I’ve had major issues with them but I am not impressed. Costco.ca has a special on now – I think it’s $15.99 per calendar. I’m going to try them but I don’t think you get the option of having multiple photos per page. If I could find a phone number for Photolab corporate, I’d call to see.

Update…I phone the store where I’d pick up the calendars and spoke to the supervisor in the photo lab. He said that sometimes there are limits on how many you can order. So I tried just ordering 2 but no luck. He said that if it didn’t work to take a screen shot of the online deal (buy one, get one free) and to print it out. He said if I placed the order and then brought the printout in, he’d honour the deal and adjust the price at the till. May be worthwhile talking to your store to see if they’d do that. HTH!

I had emailed Photolab with the question of how to get the free calendar and I was told that I would automatically receive a duplicate calendar.

I ordered on november 30th and received a call to pickup my order yesterday. I went to pickup my order and to my suprise there’s only 1 calendar. The sales clerk told me that it happened to another person earlier that day and they couldn’t do anything about it because they weren’t the one printing the calendar. I’ve sent another email to photolab about this but I will have to cross a gift off my xmas list because I will probably not receive the calendar that I’m missing before xmas if it took 15 days+ for the other one.

So far my experience with them is -1

Ordered a calendar and Christmas cards from Superstore photolab on Dec 1st, website stated 5 business days….now its Dec21st…..still waiting for that calendar and the cards. When I call to complain, there is noone that can give us an answer as to when the items will arrive….apparently they ship them from Ontario. Worst service I have ever experienced. I’m done with Superstore.
