More than 380 participating Pizza Pizza locations will be accepting old cell phones and handheld devices as part of Cells for Slices, an annual cell phone recycling program that generates revenue for Food Banks Canada. Throughout April consumers in Ontario can drop off their previously used cell phones and receive a FREE slice of pepperoni or cheese pizza.

Well, speedytrini, I’d say it’s a deal if someone was looking to throw away/recycle it without an incentive. A lot of people have old cell phones that do not work optimally/are out of style/whatever & have been looking to get rid of it. Now, there’s food tacked onto that idea 😛 I’d say it’s a deal for those.

Agree with #1 and #2 – there are many sites out there where you can send in your old phone in exchange for retail store points or GCs. This “deal” is on the cold side.
Even if its a old phone, it’s still worth more than $2.50
You can also donate the cell phone at the Green Living Show in Toronto (April 23-25), and you get free admission. That’s a savings of $12.

given the quality of the product I think that the deal should be donate a cell phone and be banned from ordering for life.:-)
