Thanks to couponlady for posting this deal for us.
Considering they get many of there pets via pet/puppymills I would never support them, I wont even walk in their stores.
I’m too distracted by the adorable puggle to read about the deal 😛
WOOF~!
They are just in AB, BC and ON.
Yes, I don’t like PJ pets either, they definetly get their dogs from Puppy Mills, I can’t support them either!
I’m with Christine. PJ’s pets is a horrible company! The puppies come from puppy mills and the staff have very little knowledge about animals.
I only went to PJ’s once and will never go back. While I was there I noticed that the pets were sleeping and playing in their own feces. The puppy pens hadn’t been cleaned in a while and some of the animals didn’t have any clean water.
I also saw a young woman on her cellphone talking to her boyfriend about getting a puppy because it was cute and would match her new purse! She then went on to tell him that it didn’t matter that the landlord didn’t allow pets…they could simply hide the dog when he came over. The sales person didn’t bat an eye when she hung up the phone and pointed out the proper purse matching puppy. Made me sick. Places like PJ’s are one of the main reasons the shelters are bursting at the seams. There are thousands of animals that are “put to sleep” because nobody wants them.
DO NOT BUY FROM PJ’S!
Even buying products from their stores you are supporting puppy mills.
Our local PJ’s actually stopped selling puppies. Maybe other stores will follow.
Sallycat, they don’t only get puppies from mills, their birds, fish as well as reptiles and rodents are bred in similar facilities.
I was an assistant manager at a PJ’s for a while when I was younger. I can honestly say not all the puppies were from mills, but I had my doubts on a few. The purebred kittens almost always were it seemed, but the domestic breeds were brought in from the general public, however it seems they are no longer selling domestics, only purebreds (at least my location). Tis a shame.
I only shop there now when I cannot make it to Pet Valu.
I always look at the comments under any deals. Did not know about the puppy mill situation at this store. I will certainly not shop there again. I frequent a local groomer and will stick to Pet Valu since Pet Smart has disappeared from our area.
