Is this an 80gig system? It looks like one in the photo, but I believe the new 80gig MGS Limited Edition retails as $499. Does this come with the new DualShock3 controller, or the regular SixAxxis one?

  2. Boo Radley says:

It’s the regular system! I just put in a generic pic! sorry my bad lol

  3. Stephen says:

This price isn’t great. I assume this is the 40Gb system which can be had normally for $399 + tax = 441. There are often specials including a free game and it always comes with Spider man 3 on Blu Ray. I though the tax free was only in western canada?

  4. Stephen says:

    Sorry, thats $451 not 441.

I just paid the extra 100 bucks today and got the brand new 80GB Limited Edition with the just realesed Metal Gear Solid 4 and the new dualshock controller

MUCH MUCH better deal if you ask me! The newest game the newest controller and the better GB! I’m a happy gamer!

  6. Jim Squires says:

If you live in a border town I suggest driving over and picking up the MGS4 bundle at a US Wal-mart, as you get a $100 gift card with any blu-ray player purchase right now (PS3 included).

  7. amycanada77 says:

Oh man I know I heard about that – I actually heard that BestBuy was doing it and that Wal-mart would match it
Unfortunately I live a good 4 hours from the border and my gas alone would be $100 not too mention the waste of my oh so valuable game playing time! lol

  8. Sally says:

Lol Amy, your perfectly correct, sometimes the ”best deal” ends up costing more in the long run!

  9. I don’t even care about the price, I just really want a PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Sadly, I won’t be able to afford one until… Mid- to Late-July, and that’s only if I don’t buy anything else at all ’til then. =(

  10. Aaron says:

Hmm, I’m only an hour from the border (Sarnia/Port Huron crossing), and there’s a Wal-Mart over there. Anyone know what kind of duty would I be looking at paying if I did a border run?

  11. amycanada77 says:

Whenever we go over the boarder we just say that we are meeting so and so friends at the (insert known restaurant) for dinner.

Then when we cross back oer we just say that we are heading home from dinner (after we have gone shopping that is :D)

It’s worked for us on numerous occasions and we are kitchener-waterloo (which is kinda extreme to travel that far for dinner but they don’t seem to care)

  12. Aaron says:

Hmm, not sure if I have the guts to say that knowing I have a $400 item hiding in my trunk. A good idea though… 🙂

Well, what’s the worst that could happen. They find it and charge me the sales tax?

  13. Dave Comeau says:

There’s not supposed to be any duty on video games…but you’re supposed to pay Canadian tax (GST) I think.

  14. Robbie says:

I believe Dave is right about having to pay GST. Free trade pact with US does apply to video games, computers, etc.

  15. amycanada77 says:

I doubt they’ll even have any of the Metal Gear Bundles left anyway, so I would call around before even making the trip, I know in our area they sold out within the day (luckily I’m 2 seconds away from a 24hr walmart and was able to get mine at midnight :D)
    …oh noooo… now I await Alex’s comments…..lol

    Hi,
The playstation games will keep the kids entertained for most part of the journey. If you do not access to any of the devices, you can play these playstation games online as well. There are numerous Websites that allow you to play the playstation games for free. However, there are some Websites that also charge some nominal charges for allowing you play the playstation games on their Website. If you are interested in buying any of the playstation games, it is a good method is to try the games on rent prior to buying the playstation games.
