Pokemon Go Canada was officially released yesterday, July 17, 2016 but if you, like many other Canadians, tried playing the game, you would have experienced a server crash for a large portion of the day. The game is up and running now, however, so you can finally download it without going through the U.S. iTunes or third party method.

For those who don’t know what Pokemon Go is, it’s an augmented reality gaming app where players can travel the real world and virtual world of Pokemon where they can discover Pokemon, catch ’em, collect ’em, and battle ’em! Pokemon Go uses Google Maps for real locations and it encourages players to go outside and explore the city!

This game is FREE to play; however, if you want to experience even more, you can spend real money to purchase PokeCoins (the in-game currency), which allows you to buy power-ups, extra items, among other additions.
