    Toy Story is still superior.

I never understood why they do the combo pack thing. If you have a blu-ray player, then there ya go. Do you REALLY also need a DVD AND Digital Copy?

Then you have just the DVD, but now if you want to have any special features, you have to pay an additional $5 – $10 for the “special” edition that has a bunch of features that SHOULD have been on the normal release of the DVD. That’s one of the reasons DVDs were made – FOR THE DAMN FEATURES!!

Sorry, totally off topic, but I really hate how they like to screw us over. And they wonder why people download instead of buying.

too bad, i don’t have a blue ray.. no coupon for me… why would i buy the blue ray for the dvd.

this kind of thing makes me think blue rays are going to take over dvds??, they are so expensive though.

  3. itsjustmebub says:

for us it’s good because we have a DVD player and my in-laws have a Blu-Ray player so we can each keep one!

  4. Moom says:

This is a good coupon, shame it needs a “coupon printer” install before you can get it though. No way I’m installing anything like that.

As for why they bundle the DVD and Blu-ray… Say you’ve got a DVD player now but in the future you’re going to buy a Blu-ray player, this is a good way to ensure you don’t get left behind…

  5. Clarence says:

This seems to be the way Disney is going with their releases right now, unfortunately. I’d prefer to be able to buy strictly a Blu-Ray disc without the digital or DVD copy tacked on. Still, at $10 off the combo pack is only $4 or $5 more than the standalone DVD, so I’ll pick it up. Anyone know who the “participating retailers” are?

  6. abirdd says:

Eric – Disney is marketing to families. In many cases, you may have a BluRay player for at home use; but most vehicles on the market only come equipped with (or have an added) DVD player. Therefore, the combo packs are a win-win for said market segment.

  7. itsjustmebub says:

@ Clarence … the coupon doesn’t specify. i think that just means whomever is willing to accept it. I would guess all major retailers

  8. Eric says:

abirdd – yeah, I thought of that after i wrote my comment. Though I still say the whole “digital copy” thing is a ripoff. If you own a movie, you can legally copy it for backup purposes and then view it on a laptop, or ipod, or whatever.

  9. Sally says:

I saw this in theatre and honestly it not really for young children. There is so much in the movie they just don’t “get” and Im not talking in a funny shrek way either.

I’d say 8 and up for this one.

  10. Ryan says:

@eric re: “you can legally copy it for backup purposes and then view it on a laptop, or ipod, or whatever.”

Well, yes and no. Yes you’re allowed to make backup copies BUT (and this is more true in the states) to make the backup you need to crack the DVD’s encryption, which is actually illegal. The Digital Copy is their way of being able to say the law doesn’t need to be changed because they just give you the digital copy ‘free’.

I’ve used these coupons before at Zellers with no problems.

  12. Ann says:

Dose anyone know if I can use this coupon at Future shop or Best Buy?

  13. Darrell says:

Does anyone know who is selling this for the cheapest right now?

  14. Mel says:

Thanks for this! I can add this as one of my Christmas gifts to check off the list!

  15. abirdd says:

Normally WalMart has the lowest price – and they do not have issues with accepting the Disney coupons.
Zellers is also great – from a price matching and SPC (if you have one) angle. They are also known for accepting the Disney coupons.
I know in the past people said FutureShop and BestBuy had issues with the coupons; not sure if management has learned these really do come from Disney direct, and therefore they SHOULD be accepting.

  16. Kim says:

Zellers has it today (Tuesday only) for $13.97 when you trade and save your HBC points.

  17. itsjustmebub says:

@ Kim, that’s not for the 4-disc set unfortunately!

  18. momoforever says:

Best Buy has it on sale Nov 10, 11 and 12 only for $31.99..

  19. Chi of Steel says:

I have reserved my copy at Best Buy for in-store pick-up. Will update tomorrow when I head to pick it up.

  20. Annemarie says:

Costco has is for 32.99 but I’m not sure if they will take the coupon.

  21. itsjustmebub says:

ooooh SWEET deal at Best Buy!!! $21.99 for a 4 disc set! I’m in!

  22. Mel says:

Hi again! I went to Future Shop, and ended up getting the collectible steel book case, which was pretty awesome. As far as labelling goes, it doesn’t say anything different on the package, apart from it being in the really nice steel case, and the barcode being different. The cashier was unsure and had to ask her manager, but they OKed it, as it was the same price ($31.99).

Also, is the limit of printing this coupon 2 per computer? I was able to print two, but afterwards it said I had reached my limit.

  23. Chi of Steel says:

@Mel: Yes, there’s a limit of 2 I remember reading after I installed the coupon printer. That sounds promising that Future Shop accepted it. From what I’ve read online, Best Buy is hit or miss, but since they’re owned by the same company, there’s a chance things will go smoothly.

If not, across the street to Walmart I’ll be.

  24. mist_ynight says:

thanks for the coupon, I’m glad I didn’t buy it when I was out today.

  25. Ryan says:

I’m going down to the US to buy these. I think they’re about $20 – 25 each, plus you get $18 in coupons, plus an additional $10 off if you buy both.

Why are they so expensive in Canada?

  26. itsjustmebub says:

Best Buy @ Heartland town centre wouldn’t accept the coupon so I grabbed the flyer and went across the street to Walmart. She adjusted the price to $31.99 and gave me the $10 off with my coupon and didn’t blink 🙂

  27. Chi of Steel says:

Best Buy @ Newmarket — dude tried scanning the coupon various times and nothing came up. Luckily it wasn’t busy, so the other cashier took the initiative and manually gave me the $10 off anyway. These big box stores are usually concerned about making the sale.

I would’ve done the same, bub, if BB refused.

  28. Laura says:

I went shopping in Niagara Falls Michigan yesterday and got the combo pack for $9.99 at Target. ($19.99 minus the $10 off). Took the coupon without batting an eye! There is also a sticker on the Target version that says that this version includes “a 150 page-adventure journal, postcards and sticker sheets” and that’s included in the package as well.

I also noticed the US Walmart had it on sale for $19.99 too – but their version didn’t have the journal …

  29. sarah says:

Just picked up my copy today and used the coupon with no problem! Great price for a blue-ray DVD thats for sure!!!

  30. ivan says:

my computer won’t print it. can someone emaail a screen capture for me?? pleease? (idubbz[at]gmail.com)
