Interestingly, there is no tax on this 500ml size tub of ice cream from Chapman’s, yet some other companies like Nestle have shrunk the size of their Haagen-Dazs tubs, making them taxable. So if you needed a reason to buy Chapman’s other than the fact that they are Canadian, the tub size is slightly bigger than other brands, and you will not pay tax on this product. Chapman’s has said however that some Loblaws banner stores have been erroneously charging tax on this product, and to contact customer service if this should happen.
