Quaker Canada has decided to recall its Quaker Harvest Quinoa Granola Bars from the marketplace due to a possible contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. You might remember the post written last week about the same bacteria contaminating Costco’s Yakitori Chicken! As of now, there have been no reports of any illnesses related to the consumption of these granola bars; however, you are asked to make sure you don’t have any packages in your home. If you do, simply return them to where you bought them.
As mentioned last week, food that is contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes might not look or smell odd but it can still make you feel sick with nausea, vomiting, body aches, headaches, and neck stiffness. If you consumed these specific granola bars and you’re experiencing any of the symptoms listed above, you’re advised to contact your doctor.
