Residents Of Canada Who Time Shift Remember To Spring Ahead On March 13th 2011

clocks

Just a friendly reminder to those of us who spring ahead that we do so on March 13th 2011.  I think the “official” to do to so is 2am but most of us just do it before we head to bed.  Or if your the small percentage (like me) that forgets you spend your entire Sunday behind an hour.

I say we should spring forward with an extra hour of sleep and ignore the reasons why we have to change the clocks!

  2. Yves says:

Oh..Adam. That sounds like a great idea. I’d like to sleep with you and forget all about time.

I have to work Sunday morning so nothing like the time clock saying something different. But really they should get rid of the time change they want more light during the winter so we change the darn things…but really do we get out of it during the spring time?

We were joking about those who work graveyard shift only work 7hours and not 8 but get paid the same on that day.

I don’t really notice a difference to my internal clock…even my children and pets seem to adapt just fine…Doesn’t matter to me.

  6. FatB says:

While I’ll miss the extra hour of sleep, I do like getting home when the sun is still up…

Ontario SCers, ask your MPPs if they will support a permanent change to Standard Time once the clocks revert to it in mid-November. Remember the reason that Ontario followed the US on this matter was so that businesses were on the same time with their US counterparts. April to October was manageable, but this March-November routine is not working.

Any other SCers in other provinces with elections this year-ask the same question.

I’m so glad I don’t have to work tomorrow because knowing me I would probably show up an hour late!

@Grammar – The world’s not going to end just because the OP spelled “you’re” wrong!

  9. Laura says:

I don’t see anything wrong with “your”…you’re would be saying “you are” then the sentanence would be need to put into a different tense…

  10. Kelly says:

I think we should adjust the 1/2 hr in the winter and call it a day, and stop doing this at all!!!!!

  11. Natalka says:

Move to Saskatchewan – we don’t change time and life is wonderful!!!
