I’m happy about this yet annoyed since I already paid for a years subscription although it does end in September. I’d be peeved if I had renewed and then found this out!
Rogers is slowly taking over the world!

  2. Melissa says:

I can’t get the link to work ro read the details…. I’m a Rogers high speed customer and just moved my Yahoo Photos to flickr (as instructed) and it says it’s a Pro Account for 3 months. Is this something different?

  3. Boo Radley says:

looks like Rogers sent some people:

“And, to say welcome and thanks for choosing Flickr, we’ve set you up with 3 months of Flickr pro for free. That means you can enjoy unlimited everything until 29th September, 2007 (unless you choose to renew it, of course, for just $24.95 a year).”

    and some people

“As part of your Rogers Yahoo! service, you’ll get access to Flickr Pro at no additional cost. With Flickr Pro, you’ll get unlimited photo storage, unlimited photo albums and permanent high-resolution archiving (valued at $24.95 U.S. per year).”

    🙁

  1. Matthew says:

Paid flickr membership services to be discontinued according to Rogers email sent today. “We are writing to inform you that on July 1, 2009, your Flickr Pro account included with your Rogers Hi-Speed Internet service will change to a free Flickr account… If you have more than 200 photos in the free Flickr account, only the most recent 200 are displayed… 100MB monthly upload limit (10MB per photo)… 2 video uploads each month (max. 90 seconds and 150MB per video)… Only smaller (resized) images accessible (though the originals are saved in case you upgrade later).” No explanation offered.

  2. Josh Hamilton says:

Rogers has now rescinded this. Not only are they not offering Flikr accounts to new customers, but they’re also yanking all existing customers’ accounts.

    BOOO-URNS!

  3. Dave Blakemore says:

    ***** It’s History ********

Just got an email from Rogers. They are discontinuing the free flickr Pro account.

  4. Darren says:

We have an important update about your Flickr Pro account. Beginning July 2009, Rogers Yahoo! customers will no longer receive a Flickr Pro account as part of their service.

All Rogers Yahoo! Flickr Pro accounts will be converted to free Flickr accounts, which are subject to some limits. You can read more about the limits of a free Flickr account here:
