RONA is the latest rewards casualty as Airmiles pushes to move people over to their Cash Miles reward system. RONA gift certificates will be removed as an Airmiles dream reward on September 25th. If you still have some dream miles to spend, you can redeem 190 Airmiles for a $20 or 475 Airmiles for a $50 RONA certificate.

Thanks for the heads up!! I know my sister was planning on redeeming some miles for these rona gc for christmas gifts. I just let her know, I wish I heard about the Shell gc before they were removed as I was planning on stocking up on those as well as Metro for groceries!
I’m hesitant to enable my card for cash miles because if I misplace it or it gets stolen, anyone can redeem it (unless there is a code you need to enter at redemption – I have not read it through yet). BUT I’m also stuck on the fact that you lose miles overall as it costs you more miles to redeem for the cash miles. Hmm nothing we can do about it!
No code, you just give your card and they say you have $xx to redeem if you want to, similar to Shoppers Drug Mart. There is very little you can redeem for as far as stores now so unless you are saving for travel, you are pretty much stuck with Cash Rewards.
As far as losing the card, you can call them and have that card cancelled and a replacement sent I am sure, I generally carry a larger balance of points on my SDM card so have never worried about my airmiles card

I just ordered Rona certificates this past week end. It is unfortunate you could not convert the miles to the “new” cash. I don’t find Air Miles that interesting any longer and no longer shop at Metro as I did and have switched to the Superstore for gas as offers much more benefits. I had been a Gold Collector for many years. Cash back credit cards are the new norm.
I have dream air miles to redeem and would prefer Rona, Hbc .what and how do I do this. Frustrated Edward Webb
