Very dirty and under-handed tactics used by Roots recently. You advertised a product you knew would not be available at a very low sale price, and then advertise “free shipping” at a price more than the “on sale” product hoping to draw in shoppers buying things that they don’t really need, but would like to save on the original heavily discounted “phantom item” and qualify for free shipping in making the purchase worthwhile. Then adding insult to injury, you inform the customer that the heavily discounted item was “oversold” and no longer available, by this time already charging the customer’s credit card. Upon discovering the email sent by you to the customer informing them of the original heavily discounted item is no longer available, you don’t allow for the cancellation of the balance of the order. Fraudulent tactics is becoming more and more synonymous with ROOTS CANADA. I guess business must be so bad at ROOTS CANADA to employ such dirty tactics. We ordered the advertised item very early in your scam promotional ad.
