I just want everyone to know that Sears only has a 10 day return policy on items purchased via the Outlet site so keep that in mind if you need to return what you bought.

    Sears Outlet website / Outlet.ca
A receipt or proof of purchase is required for Merchandise purchased on the sears.ca outlet site. Purchases must be returned within 10 days of delivery / pickup of order providing that they are in new and unused condition, with all original packaging, accessories, instructions, etc.

  3. JSAM'S Mom says:

Is this different than the store policy? I understand that in store, all clearance/reduced merchandise is exchange only, no refunds or returns.

  4. Sally says:

Yes its different then the store. The sears outlet allows returns. I’ve returned many items from the Outlet online. Including full refunds.

  5. Amy says:

Sears changed their returns policy on May 4, 2009.

I got stuck with over $200 of merchandise that I ordered from the online outlet site and did not return within the 10 day limit (because I did not know they had changed it). I complained and was told to try to sell the stuff on Kijiji.

  6. Sally says:

Oh no Amy that sucks! I always return back to the depot the next day if I don’t like it. Now the same day because they moved one block from my house!!

  8. Autumn says:

Can I return any unwanted items to a store, or do I have to pay shipping and mail it?

  9. Sally says:

Autumn you bring it back to any Sears depot.

Sally, really? From the website? When I had to make a return (it was their fault, mixed sized pieces in a pyjama set), I had to mail it back and pay the postage! And we have depots, and a Sears store…
I know for catalogue shopping, you take it back to the depot.

  12. Sally says:

Yes Natalka, whoever got you to do that was COMPLETELY WRONG Im assuming it was a Sears rep who didn’t know. You just take it back to the depot with the reciept and they will issue you a credit piece of paper that you keep as proof you returned it. Generally in a week or so they credit your credit card. Now you cannot get the 3$handling back but im ok with that.

I’ve probably returned over 25 things from the outlet and online regular Sears over the years and I’ve never had a problem returning.

I honestly haven’t ordered from the Sears catalogue in quite a few years, I’m an online shopper through and through. This isn’t the same depot I use alll the time either theres about 3 different ones I use. It says you can do returns through the depot within 10 days for outlet. Do you want me to get in contact with Sears to confirm?

Last year they sent a girls snowsuit instead of a boys and I got my handling back and a massive apology from the depot lady even though it wasn’t her fault.
