I tried to use this online today (Nov 23, 2009) and it seemed to work, but then prices went back to normal on the confirmation page. I phoned Sears. They cancelled the order and tried to do it again for me using the coupon over the phone. The system rejected the coupon… so I used a $10 off $100 coupon instead, which is good till Nov 30/09: 941612468
This code is only good “with your Sears Card”.
I tried using the code on Friday night – same problem as Fiona. Didn’t matter what card Sears tried to use, it kept erroring out. Customer Service bounced me from person to person; finally I just cancelled my order.
Thats weird! I just used it last night! I bought some housewares and an aquarium.
I had the worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had, at sears.ca.
This was about a month ago.
I bought a $1500 snowblower.
I received a voice message advising me of delivery the next day. I had scheduled my delivery for the weekend, which would’ve been three days later than when they were delivering.
I called to inquire why my date was arbitrarily changed. I was told, “Oh, we always have problems with our online delivery system!” Unreal!
Anyhow, without boring you with too much info, my date must’ve been rescheduled by Sears at least three times…the worst service I’ve received in a long time!
I won’t ever by from sears.ca again for home delivery. If I do use this code, it will be for something small I can pick up at the store.
And another thing…I never received my invoice via email like they tell you will happen after you confirm your order.
That’s a pretty big purchase to not have any proof.
I had to call them to get them to mail an invoice to me.
Not impressed with their online site.
Well neither of the codes shown above worked for me so I called the 1-800 number and they have honored the $15 off. Unfortunately, they are going to charge me the whole thing and I have to request the credit when I pick up the item but at least I got my savings.
Downside is that I missed out on the 2.1% cashback.
Strange kipper, Ive bought a washer, dryer, fridge, stove, dishwasher etc and never had problems with the delivery dates. They’ve always been the date I’ve chosen. Sucks some have trouble, I’ve only had trouble once or twice in the hundreds of times I’ve used Sears.
Kipper, I can relate. While I didn’t purchase a snowblower, I did purchase many items back in the beginning of November, with the “bright idea” that I would get the majority of my Christmas shopping done early. I received my invoice via email, which showed the estimated arrival dates, as all items I ordered were shown as instock. A week goes by, with no phone call or email about my order, which should be ready according to the original email. I call their CS line and turns out all but two items that I ordered are not in stock, but backordered, and won’t be ready until December 31st. Obviously that doesn’t do me any good, so I ask to cancel my order, and am told I can’t. I have to wait for the goods to arrive, and then return them for a refund. I spoke to several CS reps and was told the same thing. I will never shop with sears.ca again. I not only have to pay for my Credit card so i won’t have to pay interest on goods I don’t even have, but I have to fork out more money again to go out and buy my xmas gifts.
Code does not work with all items….electronics is one of them!
I received a card from sears.ca…15% off when you spend $100 or more, and pay with Sears Mastercard or Sears card. Offer ends Jan. 31/10.Limit one Bonus Offer Number per customer. Used it Jan. 10- no problem. Tried to use it Jan. 15-number rejected.Sears rep. said you can only use it one time; that is not the way I interpret “One Bonus Offer Number per customer”. I Emailed sears..received an automated reply..said they would respond within ten days (!) I’ve enjoyed reliable service from my Sears card since 1970, but now I’m wondering if things are getting shaky at Sears Canada.
