Sears Canada Spend $63 or More on Mariah Carey Perfume and Receive a Free Tote Until August 27th

mariah

Woah! This is a nice, spend $63 or more on Mariah Carey perfume and receive a free tote.  Of course I JUST missed it!  I bought some Mariah Carey perfume on Wednesday at Shoppers. I purchased the red “mine again” scent. Its so lovely and fun! It has a nice light fruity smell and is great for everyday wear.  It of course has not replaced my signature scent Armani Mania . Do you have a signature scent?

Looking at the Sears online site I *think* one of the Mariah Carey perfumes is priced wrong. $220 seems a little high as the majority are $42! Click here to check out this deal.

http://www.lollipopbling.com/ for a full description of the scents. They are very daily wearable and fruity tones.

Elizabeth Arden is the developer of the scents.

“Ribbob” A mouthwatering fragrance inspired by the flavor of the Blue Raspberry Ring Pop combined with a beautiful floral bouquet. *blue bottle*
“Mine again” A combination of Chocolate Raspberry with a touch of Magnolia creates an addictive fragrance. *red bottle*
“Honey” An irresistible fragrance combined with a touch of Honey and Pineapple, creating a bright and sunny fragrance. *yellow bottle*

I really liked the yellow bottle as well, it was inbetween the red and yellow one, but the red won out on the second elimination.

Chocolate raspberry?! Does it smell remotely like that for real? Now I’m curious.

I’m honestly partial to the Calgon Marshmallow body spray. It’s cheap and men say it smells like cookies lol. Little Shop of Beauty (a fantastic Canadian etailer) has an amazing marshmallow hand creme that I buy in the winter that compliments this scent. I once put it on before I left work, and then walked up the street in a snow storm with GLOVES on and a guy 10 feet behind me caught up to me to ask “is that you that smells like cookies!?” lol

For a more sophisticated option I adore Armani Code. Most perfumes give me a headache. This one does not, and the scent just gets better on me as the day goes on. Love it!

Is it just me or did they slim her down in this picture? Like wayyyyyy down, boobs and all.

With so many more people developing allergies every day I’m hoping people are being a bit more scent conscious.

I just want to know who sucked all the fat out of that picture of Mariah

  8. Anne says:

LOL her hair doesn’t even look like it fits her head, I think that’s why they put all the squiggles around her hair rather than readjust it to fit her head lol.

    Why all the hate, ladies?

  10. Sally says:

I think it looks more like a drawing then a real picture, but I still think shes beautiful. I think its great IRL she has a few extra pounds. Its refreshing.

  11. Theresa says:

Code by Armani is the best!!!!!!!!!!!! I have received compliments from complete strangers. I might try the Armani you mentioned.

  12. Sarah says:

No hate, merely observation. It’s a comment on how photo enhancement/re-touching is once again being used to sell us something. Why not just use the real Mariah?

  13. Chi of Steel says:

Oh, c’mon, Sarah. What advertising doesn’t use digital touch ups? They’re obviously marketing this product to a youthful audience. Comments like
“sucking the fat” seem overly harsh.

I have such a hard time buying perfumes. I’m not allergic, but most perfumes give me headaches and make me feel nauseated within a short time. Simple, fresh-scented men’s colognes like Nautica don’t bother me when someone’s wearing them!

I have to stick with mildly-scented body sprays, and even then, I’ve thrown out a dozen or so of those, as they soon made me sick. I do like the new Dove pomegranate/Lemon Verbena spray, though.

Anyone have suggestions for mildly-scented colognes or sprays with a minimum of musk and green notes?

  15. Sally says:

you know what drives me nuts is the calvin klein line. It smells so bad to me! Or chanel 5 or all those old lady scents… there bad too.

  16. Minou says:

Yeah. I can’t stand those ones, particularly the women’s. My husband wears Escape sometimes, and it’s not too bad (though I bought him a few different versions of Nautica in hopes of replacing it)

    I find Obsession pretty overwhelming!

Old Lady perfumes… I worked at the front desk of a country club through university, and elderly women (putting on airs, dressed to the nines and dipped in perfume) would come in to have “luncheons” with their friends. the cumulative effect of all that perfume in the front lobby was incredible!

  17. catlady says:

Sally – I used to think that about Chanel until I tried and bought their Chance Au Fraiche (the green one). It is expensive but worth it! That is my favourite perfume (green tones)! Next time I run out I’ll get it from Duty Free (if I have any travel) so I can hopefully get it for cheaper.

  18. Sarah says:

@Chi of Steel – It is not overly harsh when it is the reality. She is way heavier than portrayed in that photo. I did not criticize her weight. She is a full bodied woman and I’ve not said there was anything wrong with that and in fact champion any woman who can go out and get theirs while sporting a REAL figure. And so what if it is being marketed to a younger crowd, does that mean it is okay to trim a good 20-30lbs from what she really looks like?

  19. Sally says:

Does anyone remember Sun Moon stars|?
