Sephora Canada: Exclusive V.I.B. Holiday Shopping Event 20% off

Canadian Deals & Coupons

picture-7

So this special runs two ways, you can get 20% off if you are a Sephora V.I.B. member between Nov 13-15.

However, if you aren’t a member (you need to spend a certain amount at sephora to become one) you can get the savings too! On Nov 12 between 4-9pm you can share your V.I.B. discount with others who are not V.I.B. and get the same discount! This is on for 5 hours only!

You must bring the email into the store to get the discount. For online, just use the code “V324HW”. I think it is limited to one friend per invite, so you may want to find a Sephora friend to get the discount.

That’s actually really interesting..I got a coupon too. I haven’t bought anything at Sephora – I’m just a beauty insider. My coupon says “November 12-15” to share with a friend on Friday November 13, 2009 from 6-9pm.
I think you have to go with your friend…and isn’t it weird that the times are different?? How strange.

And ya I think you do have to go with the VIB person.

I am a VIB but I don’t have any emails about it cuz I signed up instore… I wonder how that works then…

  3. blue says:

Justine, your fine print sounds like the US version which is on Thursday. I got the Canadian version which is the same as Starri Kari’s. It doesn’t say anything about the discount applying online, and the special event time is Friday.

I’d be interested how non VIBs got that same email though…I’m a VIB so I’d feel a little less special if all Beauty Insiders did get the email whether or not they have VIB status. lol 😛

  4. Justine says:

I have only shopped sephora online, so I don’t have an actual physical card, but I am a VIB. that’s weird that I would get an american one although we order from the same site so… it could work, sorry for the confusion!

  5. Justine says:

oh and beauty inside and VIB are two different things, anyone can be a “beauty insider” that just means you are signed up with the sephora website and get their mailings.

VIB is spending I think it’s $350 a year to get special emails and offers that regular members do not get.

  6. Holly says:

So if you don’t know a VIB you are S.o.l.?? If anyone is not giving a friend an invite, I would really appreciate it if you would share with me =)

  7. FunkyMunky says:

    I’m surprised I got it – I guess I did spend $350 already, jeez! 🙂

  8. loveandsqualor says:

I’m a Beauty Insider, as is a friend of mine. She received the same email as Starri Kari’s, and I didn’t! She said she’d bring me on Friday for the Friend event, but I can’t go. 🙁

I wonder if this email is randomly sent? She received hers yesterday, and I haven’t gotten one. If any of you aren’t going to use yours, hook me up! 🙂

  9. Sandy says:

The emails have your BI card # on it, so it’s only specific to the person who holds that card. In theory, you can transfer the email to someone else to use as long as that person doesn’t use their own BI card for the transaction. The problem with transferring that email to strangers is that now someone else has access to your BI number and can go ahead and redeem your points.

  10. Sue says:

I have a BI card but dont think I have achieved VIB status. I received the same email but am so confused as to when I can use the coupon! I want to go tonight if possible but dont understand the fine print…

    Help?

  11. FunkyMunky says:

Sue, you got the email and you’re a member – that’s all that matters! go and receive 20% off!

  12. Ilene says:

Is there an online code that Canadians can use? I am only a beauty insider and didn’t get the email. I tried to use the code for online listed above, but said for US only. Is there one on the email for Canada that can be used by anyone??? Thanks!

  13. FunkyMunky says:

Canadian discount is instore only ladies!!

Used mine today – I’m $75 poorer now 🙁 their festive stuff is pretty neet (body lotions and all)

    hope everyone shopper reponsibly! 🙂

  14. FunkyMunky says:

    *shop!

  15. vsteph says:

I was wondering as I read and reread my email, there is no price limit but is there a number of time of transactions? Is it a one time purchase only or can one go as many times as one wants as long as it’s between november 12-15?

  16. kanansa says:

I went today and they gave me back the email to use as many times as I want over the weekend. Also, I don’t have VIB status, but I got the email anyway and I still received the 20% off.

    • Justine says:

wow I wish I had a sephora store near me, I’ve only ever shopped online or I would totally use this deal.

  17. spiceysap says:

    I have two issues:
    1. No 20% discount for Canadian online orders (not fair)
    2. The US & Canadian rates havent been adjusted still…..

Better for me to just go to the USA to shop…

  18. vsteph says:

I knew it, the salesgirl kept my email after I used it and when I asked her, she said it was a one time use only, but when I got home, I read the fine prints and it said she had to give it back to me, urghhh!!! Thanks for answering!!! I know I hate canadian rates versus american, so unfair and not reflective of the exchange rates at all, plus when you think about our taxes, I wish I could cross the border and shop there.

  19. Melanie says:

Is that image above what needs to be brought in? I’m just asking because there’s not bar code on it… I’m kind of annoyed; I’ve been a VIB since April and didn’t get this email!

  20. vsteph says:

Hi Melanie, you need the original email since it has in the bottom both a bar code for your BI account number and then another bar code for the 20% off. If you didn’t get the email, I suggest you go and demand your fair share =)

  21. Melanie says:

    Just an FYI to everyone.

I didn’t get an email and called the 1-877# on the back of my BI card. They were not able to do anything except offer me the online code (which doesn’t work in Canada) as the email is computer generated and apparently can’t be resent. So I called both my local stores and after verifying my VIB status on their computers they were both willing to offer me the 20% off.

So call your local store if you didn’t get an email!!
