Shoppers Drug Mart: 18,500 Optimum Points When You Spend $75 or More

sdm

*Offer valid from Monday, March 7, 2011 to Friday, March 11, 2011. Receive 18,500 Shoppers Optimum Bonus Points® when you spend $75 or more on almost anything in the store after discounts and redemptions and before taxes. Maximum 18,500 points per offer regardless of total dollar value of transaction. Excludes prescription purchases, Shoppers Optimum® Mastercard® points, products that contain codeine, non-pointable items, tobacco products (where applicable), lottery tickets, stamps, transit tickets and passes, event tickets, gift cards, prepaid card products and Shoppers Home Healthcare® locations. Offer applies to photofinishing services that are picked up and paid for on the day of the offer only.

This is one of my favourite promos because it’s slightly better than 20x the points (this one is approximately 24x the points). Despite a higher spending limit of $75 to qualify for the points, I make sure to use coupons to reduce my out of pocket total. If you have any questions, SmartCanucks has a fantastic section dedicated to SDM and their Optimum program where we discuss and answer questions and share deals. You can check that out here.

Does ‘Maximum 18,500 points per offer regardless of total dollar value of transaction’ mean that you cannot earn extra bonus points in store from purchasing qualifying products?

  2. baggypants says:

It means that even if you spend $100, 18,500 is the maximum points you will receive but qualifying products earn you extra points.

  3. Lauren says:

Plus members will get 22,000 if you print off the coupon in the email. Does anyone know if you can use the $20 shoppers card in the last promo to help pay the $75?

  4. haha says:

    Laura,
How do you know the 22,000 points?

  5. Lauren says:

I got the regular shoppers email and if you are a plus member there is a coupon you can print off to get 22,000

  6. Kyla says:

You’ll have to spend $95 if you’re using any of the gift cards you get that are worth $20. Technically it goes in at a “discount” so it’s not an actual gift card, so you wouldn’t get the points if you were only spending $75. Pretty much if you have any cards from other promos, just add that amount on top of the $75 and you’ll get the points.
