For clarification on a previous, SDM Points post, the fine print on this 20x event does not specifically say, “shopper drug mart gift cards”, but does say “electronic gift cards”. Can any of the experts comment on this? I know sometimes you can buy SDM gift cards get the 20x and then buy your items with the gift card and get the 20x again…..or at least you used to be able to…..

  2. Noor says:

you never get 20X for buying SDM gift card only get regular point, but you can use sdm gift card to buy things and will get bonus point.

Can a SDM guru comment on what’s the better deal 20% off or 20x the points?
    Thanks, moe

@Moe Hunter, personally I would go for points as I do not buy much at full price and shop at SDM regularly so can redeem at the highest levels but it depends what you are buying
20x points would be 20,000 at $100. Redeeming when 95k = $200 means it is worth around $42 (but if you redeem at $10, obviously not as great)
If you want something that is high value and would get a decent discount at 20% it may be a better deal (20% of $250 etc)

If you buy something 300$, redeem 170$, can you get 20X points on the balance?
