Shoppers Drug Mart Bonus Redemption: What Did You Redeem For This Weekend?

I am saving my points for Christmas, despite my temptation to redeem for more makeup, so I will live vicariously through your brags.  What did you redeem your Shoppers Drug Mart Optimum Points for this weekend?

Don’t forget that the bonus point offer for buying four Kraft products and other 50th anniversary offers all start alongside bonus redemption.

Check out the flyer and other shopping lists in our Shoppers Drug Mart forum here.

I will cash in points worth $50.Usually you redeem for only $30 with 25,000 pts,so I consider it a real bonus.Plus I scramble for things to buy when it’s for $100.I will be buying paper products, food, some medicinals, and what ever catches my eye, thats on sale.I also hope to gain pts with the Kraft deals,etc…..

I am going in soon – looking for some Christmas presents and basics for myself – hello makeup! Also, not going to redeem more than 50,000. But you never know!!

Kerry, I have no issues redeeming for the $200 levels. I can do that without even leaving the beauty boutique part lol. Darn that Smashbox and nailpolish obsession.

Hi there, actually had a question. Hubby and I have saved up about 90k in points and my memory told me that bonus redemption closer to xmas was much bigger than what’s offered throughout the rest of the year? Is that right? Oh and I also remember some sort of event where it was like bring a friend so SC had the referral so we all got big points on a certain weekend (hope I’m explaining properly) will that happen again? Is it a yearly thing? Tyvm if some1 can help me out

The one last Christmas was $250 if memory serves me correctly, but some of the sales for that redemption were horrible.
Tell A Friend seems to be happening less, no way to tell if they will do it again

I used up 50,000 points (had to borrow some points), and purchased 2 cases of formula and a box of wipes. Not too exciting, but I needed it! Now time to rack up the points for MEGA redemption!!

I used the 95000 points. Purchased a PS3 (239.99) and received a $50 GC whcih I used on my next order for a second controller.

All in all I spent $21 on a PS3 and controller

  7. Danifish says:

I used 50000 points and got: 3 boxes of Pampers, 2 Aerius 30’s, 2 International Delights, 3 boxes Always Liners and some allergy meds for my son. After coupons and $110 in points it was 17.65 oop!!!!

  8. kerry says:

    I also bought 4 cadbury bars at $2 each,for and extra 8000 pts.Plan to purchase 4 more.

  9. I was instructed to post my brag here from Fallenpixels because not everyone who reads the blog reads the forums (you have no idea what you are missing!!!!) So I suggest you join the forums like all the cool people.

Anywho. I redeemed 95,000 SDM points for $220 off. I purchased 108 Cadbury chocolate bars for $2 each. When you buy 4 you get 8000 bonus points. I also bought 3 tena packs ($5.99 each – $5 coupon) and a small bag of cheetos to get my to the $220 mark. I paid about $30 in taxes.

So although I spent $30 OOP and used 95,000 points I then in turn earned 216,150 points.

I may or may not be currently eating chocolate. 😉

    Hello

I recently joined smart canucks. My partner and I went to shoppers using our points to buy $220 worth of stuff. We were going to buy a tv with the points but are not sure if the tv sold there was decent enough. We bought staples such as toilet paper, peanut butter, expensive razors we like and never buy, bread, deodorant, a fan on sale and other staples. This is his first time spending points. I had saved them mostly buying makeup with 20x the points and have trained my partner to use the points card when buying anything, we have a shoppers just outside our house! He was thrilled by it. We spent $260 dollars, did not use coupons. I even got flour, and tofu and he got some cheese. He was amazed that they sell food at shoppers. I wish I had read this column before we went shopping because I did not know about the chocolate bars points!

Thanks for your comments and, I will try now to save my points for Christmas

I redeemed $490 worth of points….so I now have my own mini shoppers drugmart in my house (I get toilet paper, laundry detergent, health supplies (painkillers, cold pills, band aids). A lot of paper products, kitchen supplies, groceries etc. I got some kraft products (on my second $220 redemption). I do it in installments and then I earn points to spend as I go which resulted in an extra $30 to redeem at the end.

  15. Tracy says:

I’ve heard through the grapevine that Shoppers is in the process of removing all of the points that people made “abusing” the cadbury deal. For example, if you used your points to “purchase” kraft products, ie:chocolate bars, to earn the bonus points, those bonus points will be removed from your card. Whether this is true or not is another story. A few people have posted on other boards saying that thier points have already been removed.

  16. Natalie says:

From their FB page… Shoppers Drug Mart “Hi Stephanie Holland No, if you have already received Optimum Bonus Points relating to this offer, you will be able to keep your Optimum Bonus Points and they will not be clawed-back.”
