There has been talk about a Bonus Redemption day for this coming weekend at Shopper’s Drug Mart.  It has now been confirmed that it is going to be a Bonus Redemption day for cosmetics only (so no regular merchandise).  This is still a good time to redeem your points for a great Valentine’s gift for your sweetie.  Some perfume or cologne is always a nice gift.  So here are the Bonus Redemption details:

Receive an extra $10 when you redeem 40,000pts and an extra $20 when you redeem 75,000pts

Thanks to Tripsplanner for confirming this event with us.

  1. Justine says:

too bad SDM doesn’t sell Clinique or MAC.

  2. Sara says:

    well that sucks!
I guess that fits with my original thoughts that the normal bonus redemption won’t be till end of March/Beginning of April.

  3. Sara says:

lol Justine! I didn’t even pay attention to the names in the pic! I’d be thrilled with a cosmetic redemption is they carried MAC!

  4. a0n0n0e says:

the cosmetics redemption event is 40,000 points for $85 (extra $10)
    and 75,000 points for $170 (extra $20)

  5. Ivan says:

Doesn’t matter. Bring your $200 worth of stuffs and simply ask the cashier to redeem the max (75000 points in Ontario). Cashier has no option to limit that to $150 as the system will show $200.

  6. Melanie says:

Is there a way to check how many points you have??

  7. LEs Myles says:

    Ivan,

Could you explain? Sorry I don’t under the “system will show $200”. Are you saying we can get $200 free instead of $150?

  8. maybe says:

Melanie, you can check your points total on the sdm website or on the bottom of your shopper’s receipt.

  9. Silvana says:

    justine,
some locations do sell clinique, usually at the ones that have a beauty boutique, i haven’t ever seen mac though, hope this helps 🙂

  10. LeveledOut says:

    *looks at the picture again*
Hmm, that picture does look strange and misleading doesn’t it. *ponders* But it would have been so nice if Shoppers did carry Clinique and MAC. ^_^ (Very convenient!)

  11. Maria says:

I have seen Clinique at SDM. This is in Montreal though..

  12. meguwo says:

At least they have Smashbox (my fave!)

  13. Justine says:

So why it is only $20 extra at the top level? shouldn’t be be $200 (instead of $150)?

  14. Rad says:

but wait, i thot it was bonus redemption on EVERYTHING not just cosmetics…:S

  15. Pam says:

They have Clinique at downtown Edmonton too

  16. KA says:

i have a qn for regular redemption, can i buy a shoppers gift card or any other gift cards when I redeem shoppers’ points?

  17. meguwo says:

KA, you can’t redeem points for a gift card (unfortunately!)

  18. seylz_gurl says:

    only cosmetics, that’s disappointing

  19. CarlyinCanada says:

Oh wow! I hope we get the full $200 in ON! Even tho it says only cosmetics I don’t think their system knows the difference…I did this in August & got regular stuff too! Boy they make it so confusing!

I’ve been saving for Chanel No5 so I’m good! 🙂

  20. masutaichi says:

The picture is very misleading. SDM does not carry MAC and will never carry Prescriptives since the Prescriptives line has been discontinued.

    • Justine says:

@masutaichi – I think she just chose a cute makeup picture to use.. I was more joking when I said they don’t sell MAC, everyone knows that. If they did they would suddenly be getting a lot of business from me!

  21. Francis says:

Shoppers Drug Mart 915 is having Gala! Check them out!
