After a few weeks of waiting, Shoppers is finally offering a bonus Optimum Points event that will get you closer to your next redemption goal a lot more quickly. This offer is a little more complicated than in the past however, as it takes advantage of the new Shoppers Drug Mart app. Create an account or log in with the new Shoppers App and you can load a coupon that will get you 20x the Optimum Points on September 26 and 27, 2015. This exclusive offer will vary from account to account. While everyone should see a 20x the points coupon in their account, the minimum spend to get these bonus points will vary for each person.

To get your digital coupon for 20x the Optimum points, just follow these steps:

1. Log in or create an account with the new Shoppers App & Digital Card (available on the App Store and on Google Play) OR log into your account online.
2. Once you log in, the coupon should be visible, so click on it and select “Load to Card”. It will then load the coupon to your card
3. Show your card when shopping in store to get your bonus points

I typically use the website to view offers and check up on my Optimum card, but I tried downloading the app and found it was a lot easier to use! It has all the same information you can get online, such as your account status, the Shoppers flyer, and more. I also liked that in the app, you’re able to enter your card number and a digital version of your card is created with a barcode, which is great if you tend to forget to bring your physical card with you. Your minimum spend to get 20x the points will also vary from account to account.
