Attention SDM fanatics! This is what you’ve been waiting for all year. The Mega Bonus Redemption Event is happening this weekend (December 3-4, 2011)!  For those unfamiliar with this promo, you can find out the details and ask questions in the discussion thread our excited SC members are having here. Last year’s event caused quite a frenzy and I’m sure this year will be no different. What will you spend your points on? Mine will be on electronics, cosmetics, and groceries.

    Can’t wait…..:D finally here soon

  8. Barru says:

Have 223,000 points…hmmm…time to make a shopping list

  9. Kyla says:

Cocozzzzzzz yes you will have to be at a higher level as they usually only bump up the top two levels. They have had times where they lessened the amount of points you spend at your redemption level, but not during the mega weekends.

  10. Heather says:

How many points do you have to have to take advantage of this?

  11. Sarah says:

Darn. I only have about 38,000 as well. Probably by next year I will have enough.

I don’t shop much at Shoppers they are WAAAAYYY too over priced and their sales are rarely ever good.

  12. Kyla says:

In order to take part you will have to be at least at the 50,000 (reg. $85) or 95,000 (reg. $170) level. That’s what it was like last year anyways.

  13. Trish says:

I have 435,000 and counting can’t wait!! Hopefully they have a great holiday catalogue!!!!!

  14. melissa says:

WOW 435,000 holy moly! i guess if i didnt redeem all my points throughout the year i would of been there too.

  15. Tammy says:

Well, Sarah, I completely disagree with your comment, firstly their sale stuff (grocery items) are almost comparable to walmart and superstore prices, secondly I redeem about 6000 points a year which I EASILY accumilate just by shopping there every saturday spending around $100 on their sale items I buy my staples, bread, eggs, butter, sugar, bacon, etc and items on sale, I get lots for my money I even buy their frozen items that feeds my family all week and now tomorrow I will be redeeming around 190,000 points for over $400 of FREE stuff, I will get christmas chocolates, gifts, food, perfume and not pay acpenny!!! ……….AWESOME this one of csnadas best kpt secrets, the key is buy as much as you can of items you use weekly when its “20x the points” thats how I easily rack up my points and if you can get their mastercard you earn double (i think)
    Go shoppers!!!!!!

  16. Tammy says:

Anyone have their flyer for this weekend yet?

  17. lydia says:

it is 30,000 for $60 worth on mega redemption

  18. wendyjane says:

cocozzzzzz and sarah – take a peek at the details and you’ll see that for 30,000 they will give you $60 worth of free items! wheeee this will be my first redemption

  19. PS3 says:

last weekend we bought the PS3 bundle at Superstore with PC points…this weekends MEGA redemption all the accessories, movies and some games!!!!!!

  20. PS3 says:

someone had posted the flyer earlier in the week in the deals section.

  21. carlyincanada says:

Love Mega bonus & SDM!! whoohoo!! Got 300,000 points to use!! 🙂

  22. Cheryl says:

When all the companies’ reward programs were compared, Shoppers Drug Mart had the best one going. I buy everything on sale, from vitamins to stamps, use any applicable coupons and my Options Card and SDM Mastercard (double the points). I also take advantage of their $10 vouchers when you spend over $50. I stock up on vitamins, etc. at that time and make sure I reach the $50. I always redeem my points on one of these major redemptions as you get a bigger bang for your buck. But being forgetful, I already used the last promotion to cash mine in for $200. Should have definitely waited for the Mega Bonus Redemption for an extra $50. I have received over $1000 worth of free products from SDM over the years and will now save up for next year’s.

  23. Cocozzzzzzz says:

Ha Ha… I now have 60 000 points, because of thier spend $75 get 15000 points! Got some christmas gifts and vitamins. Now I get $125 for some x-mas gifts for me and my hubby. PS3 accessories is what im thinking too! I CANT FREAKING WAIT!!!!!!

  24. Jennifer says:

Shoppers points program is rated the best among all points programs!!! I am a super fan of shoppers and I do all my shopping there.
I now have 250 000 points for this weekend.
Got to make a list tonight.

  25. wendy says:

Question….will we be paying the taxes?

  26. Mike says:

The store’s are going to be insane – it’ll be like Black Friday in there! Better go in with a game plan.

I can’t believe someone wrote the sales are never good at shoppers – I bought Royal toilet paper for $3.99 the other day. That’s pretty good – did you want it for a buck? LOL

  27. Mungi says:

Flyer says taxes are payable on the full purchase price prior to the application of the discount reward. Still an awesome deal and just in time for Christmas!

  28. Michelle says:
