Shoppers Drug Mart is having a new 20x refer a friend event on December 1 2007, and once again we have set up a referral chain to help everyone get more Optimum points.     Here is a basic explanation of what the referral event is and how the chain works:

Every 3 months Shoppers Drug Mart has an event where if you spend $50 or more you get 20x the optimum points
e.g. if you spend $50 you get 50 x 10 x 20 = 10,000 points.  During that event, if you refer someone (let’s call him John) and he spends $50 or more you will get 1000 points for referring him! Now let’s say John refers Jane and Jane spends $50 or more… you’ll get 1000 points as well although you didn’t directly refer her!

So what we’re trying to do here is have a chain so that each person refers the next person and we get 1000 points for each person below us in the chain who spends $50 or more on the x20 event day!

 To join the train please add [email protected] to your Microsoft MSN Messenger contacts.  Then when you see that we are online, contact us.  

Prior to contacting us via msn to join the chain there are a few things you must do.  First please log onto Shoppersdrugmart.ca and ensure that you can check your Optimum points online.  Second, make sure you have your Optimum card number handy prior to messaging us and finally and very importantly please make sure you have at least half an hour you can devote to the process of signing up.   Each sign up can take awhile to complete so please DO NOT message us if you cannot devote at least half an hour to the sign up process.

The SDM chain sign up through Smart Canucks is open to all who wish to join, but unfortunately you can only register for the event once.  If you have already signed up, you are unable to participate in this chain.
