If your store does have the new register system, you should have no trouble bringing down the amount you spend out of pocket using coupons, and still receive the 18500 points. This has been hit and miss for some time but the new system does treat coupons as cash, so if you have $75 worth of merchandise, and $25 worth of coupons, you will be able to pay $50 and still receive the 18500 Optimum points.
