Obviously the mega redemption in December is a better deal, but personally I find the prices were higher and stock limited during mega redemption so sometimes you can benefit from redeeming earlier.

There is no schedule, they are usually publicly announced the week before.
Mega redemption is the first weekend in December (and was the same weekend last year) and you get $250 for 95k instead of $170
Can you redeem for Prestige cosmetics (the cosmetics in the the cosmetic boutique part of the store) on the Bonus Redemption or Mega Redemption days?
Yes, you can redeem for pretty much anything
– milk is excluded in some provinces
– prescriptions are excluded in all
– lotto tickets, stamps, gift cards etc are excluded in all
I redeem for Smashbox all the time so cosmetics are definitely allowed
