Shoppers Voice Canada: No Longer Mailing Coupons for Survey Responses

svcoupons

Shoppers Voice have announced that they will no longer be sending coupon packets by mail for people who have responded to their survey.  While there have always been people who complained they did not receive coupons, this is really disappointing to me and apart from one survey, I did get good coupons each time.

From the email frugalqueen received from them, it seems this came into effect earlier this year when they announced they would no longer be sending mailed copies of the survey – before the last survey.  I am disappointed in them that it was not made clear when I filled this in that I would no longer receive offers by mail from them.

Considering there are so many paid survey companies, I will not be doing this long and quite intrusive survey for no benefit apart from the possibility of ‘occasional emailed coupons and offers’ – what about you?

I think I did two surveys, one last fall and one earlier this year. Never got anything in the mail. The survey is too much work for no reward.

  2. Julainne says:

I won’t be doing them anymore

  3. LJ says:

Maybe they are changing thing to be more online with printable coupons we can hope. Then it would be instant gratification.

  4. Micheline Belisle says:

It’s such a long survey so I’m not going to do it anymore.

  5. nisiepie says:

it’s too bad this was not made transparently clear to everyone that participated in the last survey.

  6. Danifish says:

I only ever got the coupons a few times, won’t be doing them anymore… way too long for no incentive!

  7. luckbealady says:

I only received coupons, but they were quite high value.

Too bad, but like others say, it’s too long to do without reward. I won’t be bothering any more.

  8. Holly says:

They are now affiliated with ipsos-i-say! Its an online reward program with shorter surveys and you are rewarded with points that you can redeem for gift cards!! It is way easier to earn points than swagbucks! A lot faster!! I have earned at least tripple what i get from swagbucks!! I think this is actually more rewarding than the mailed coupons!

Holly, the consumer product survey is not part of i-say, you get a chance to win $15k or iPad minis in a draw only and do not get paid for the SV survey (plus plenty of SCers will no longer do i-say surveys after multiple issues)

  9. Bubsy says:

When I started doing these surveys I always received a nice bundle of hvc plus product samples! I loved seeing their envelope in the mailbox. The last couple of years there hasn’t been any samples and even the coupons were not as high value. I definitely give up on this company, sorry Diane Simon!

I’ve been doing the SV surveys for years & have always received great coupons. I’m disappointed they’re discontinuing to mail cpns…oh we’ll,no cpns = no surveys (agreed it is too long; pointless if there’s no compensation for time invested)

  11. Aubrey says:

I never got coupons from them and I’ve done the survey a bunch of times.

  12. Greg says:

I am sure when the amount of responses come back they will change their mind, and start to offer coupons once again. When I did receive the coupons they were quite good. Funny how we are constantly asked to do these surveys from major retailers like Walmart to online to Air Miles… In the end it always leads us back to better customer service and lower prices…

  13. Larry says:

Definitely a time consuming ordeal and very intrusive as to personal choices.
I wonder if participants wind up on targeted mail and phone lists as a result ?

  14. Michael says:

Never again will I be duped like this.ShopperVoice has been blacklisted.

  15. Jo-Anne Pfoh says:

Count me out as well, I have never received any coupons and I am kicking myself for doing the last one. sigh

  16. maribel says:

Oh well, at least I don’t have any reason to muddle through that survey anymore.

  17. Mary Walsh says:

Thanks for letting us know—I always did their surveys because of the coupons they sent out–they have draws for prizes but I have never won any of them. . Will have to think about doing any more of their long surveys.

  18. EasterSummerSolsticeStarSpangledSky says:

I prefer natural, organic fair trade products so I wouldn’t be getting any coupons from them either.

  19. Insane says:

Their loss, not mine. And really the coupons were lackluster lately anyways.

  20. Christine says:

    Booooo!

  21. atyoung says:

Too bad. I didn’t mind the paper survey, when I could sit down and give it the time, and the coupons were high value too. They were a nice reward to greet you at the mailbox. But, as stated in the other comments, no coupons = no incentive.

  22. Tammy (stretchthatdollar!) says:

Oh man I wish I had seen this post last year! I just had a three day back and forth with SV customer service and their cut and paste answers that totally don’t give a straight answer…I have been thinking my coupons we either lost in th email or my address wasn’t changed since I moved…. So they don’t mail coupons anymore…well…I hope we see a 2015 change I assume their participation will drop severely

I received a text message from shoppers voice telling me I could earn 400 to 700 a week doing a survey. I was told to contact Lisa ford from shoppers voice.
I called this person and she told me she would send instructons. I received a letter with a cheque for 2900.00.. I was instructed to contact a Lisa bell from a company in Quebec who were sponsoring shoppers voice to activate cheque before I deposit it. I was told to keep 400 and cash out the rest and my next assignment would be to survey bank of Nova Scotia. This Lisa bell just so happend to have the same phone number email as Lisa ford from shoppers. Wow sorry for all this info. So beware of shoppers voice and a person called Lisa ford. Thanks
