Today only, get 25,000 PC Optimum points when you spend $75 or more on nearly anything in the store at Shoppers Drug Mart Canada. This is the Tuesday text offer for today, so it was sent out in a text message this morning to those signed up to receive them. Those who do not receive texts are still able to use this offer by scanning a screenshot of the offer.

There is sometimes confusion about these offers so let’s clear a couple of things up. I sometimes see people asking how they can use the offer if it doesn’t appear in their list of offers and it’s someone else’s offer…or what if it doesn’t work and it’s not in their list of offers if they have to do a points inquiry? This is NOT a personal offer that anyone has received in their app…no one has this offer in their app. This is a generic offer with a generic barcode, not tied to anyone’s personal PC Optimum card. Everyone is free to use the offer.

Also, there sees to be a lot of confusion about earning and redeeming points. If you have an offer in your app like get 40% back when you redeem $50 or more, you CANNOT also earn points in that transaction, by using an offer such as the one shown above. You can either redeem your points, or spend to get points.
