  3. Doug says:

code gone so quick–what good is it–I just logged on–had to email smart canucks to get the winner and now see a useless code–really that sucks–what good is a discount that lasts only an hour????–I want one but am reluctant to order after such a mess with this discount

  4. Sally says:

I’m not sure whats wrong Doug, there was ONE code for $20 off that is gone, there is still 10 $10 off codes, that code is visible in my post above. I dont know whats a mess or why exactly your disgruntled. I can’t see all the $10 codes being gone already but if they are I can and will get more, no worries 🙂

  11. benji says:

Oh I just saw one “Killer Baby”. I’m sure every parent would want to see this one personalized with their child’s face.

    DISGUSTING.

  12. MrsSunshine says:

Speaking of contest, I was one of the winner of the Old Navy contest a month ago. I did send an email along with my info (address and stuff) to smartcanucks as instructed, but never heard anything back, nor gettting the gift card….

  16. Sally says:

Hanna, that contest was not run by me at all, please re contact the proper people that ran it.

    Doug, check your email.

  17. Sally says:

Benji, I see your points as I looked them up but you have to remember this site serves all over the world and unfortunately were not all good people.

  18. Emrah Yuceer says:

    Hello people,

I’m the person from 1MiniMe.com who had the military shooting a kid idea at the first place and I just made a blog post speaking about it on our website.

    http://blog.1minime.com/customized-bobblehead-news/military-shooting-a-kid-shocking-yes

The idea was of course not to promote killing kids around the world but to make a point, kids die everyday around the world and we should not STOP speaking about it. The more we speak about it, the more we show pictures of it, the more people will get shocked and start making real actions AGAINST WAR.

The proof is all here, by just adding a bobblehead on a website, we made you re-think about it, and re-think how awful such war crimes are and being even more revolted about it, that’s the point, not promoting it.

Many people asked us to make bobbleheads of famous politics in “funny” situations to denunciate different acts, that’s our first step in this field, so try to imagine that Military shooting kid bobblehead with the head of somebody famous, it will probably make more sense to you now.

We are going to make more and more shocking bodies to make people understand that shocking things do happen around the world, and that we should all be talking about it, not hiding it.

We use art to speak against these acts, everybody’s free to use their own tools, we use what we have in hands and at least, we’re trying to do something about it.

You can interact with us directly through our facebook group Facebook.com/1minime where we let users speak freely on our wall without comment moderation.

Concerning the coupon codes, there were a few issues that should be working now, please retry or mail us if you still have issues using them.

    Cheers!!

  19. benji says:

So a business should lower itself to the lowest common denominator? Cater to baby killers and criminals? Yay. I’m sold.

  20. Sally says:

There was no comments moderated on here, but I do draw the line at swearing excessively.

  21. benji says:

Sorry, I posted my above comment in response to Sally… I hadn’t even seen Emrah Yuceer’s response yet. (?)

However, re that comment…. I think you’re missing the mark. It didn’t make me “think about it more”. What it made me do is realize I would never in a million years purchase anything from your business, as these bobbleheads are supposed to be funny and silly. It’s a BOBBLEHEAD, for goodness sake. There is absolutely NOTHING funny about that. Nor is having a personalized bobblehead of a baby with a gun.

You guys missed the mark on your “message” that you are trying to give, and instead, make many customers disgusted by your humour. You really, REALLY can not justify your reasoning…even your current explanation is ludicrous.

Perhaps eliminate those stupid, insulting items, and instead have a banner telling customers that you will donate a portion of all bobbleheads sold to a “free the children” type of organization. THAT would entice me. Not your sick ideas.

  22. benji says:

Oh and this “blog entry” was just written today, so it’s not like you’ve thought about addressing this issue in the past.

And what a way to win over customers: “Buy this bobblehead, upload the pictures of the politics or terrorists responsible for this and share it, that’s what you can do for promoting peace, not whining about a model that has been done for peace, not for war.”

So we pay YOU, $80 to “send a message”. To who? Your bank account? And to explain your reasoning, you tell customers to stop “whining”? Way to win people over.

Frankly, I’m also pretty unimpressed with SmartCanucks for not properly examining this merchant before they agreed to this promotion. This doesn’t sit well.

  23. Emrah Yuceer says:

Hello Sally, the “no moderation” was not adressed to this blog, it was just for saying that if somebody wants to take the debate where it belongs, they can do it, we don’t have issues talking or debating some of our decisions with our fans in the public place, that’s totally ok, we can’t please everyone.

Thank you Benji for your opinion, we will take that into account for our next steps, as we take other people’s ideas and requests as well.

  24. Sally says:

    🙁
