do the reviews have to be of a store/ service review? or can it be a product review?

  2. Sally says:

It can be a product, a service, a store etc. Such as carpet cleaning, a new brand of razor, walmart etc. 🙂

  3. k says:

can it be a foreign product too? something i found that works 🙂 (evidently new to this)

  4. alex says:

I submitted two reviews ages ago and they never got published. So I dont think I should try again!

  5. k says:

^ why is my comment still awaiting moderation after a few hours?

  6. sally says:

Your comment was in moderation for hours because I am the one whom approves them and I wasn’t at home or logged in.

    🙂

    Sure review it.

  7. Sally says:

Alex, there was someone else that was posting reviews and they were not getting posted. However I’ve been in charge for a few months now and the only reviews I do not post are one liners with no details or spam. Even the one liners I send out a request for more information to the email.

    🙂

  8. i reviewed a product (or two) on my blog. Can i just provide a direct link to the blog post? There are 4 or 5 pictures and it’s about a page. If I can’t post the link, will the “review” field let me post that much? I guess posting a link wouldn’t exactly work with your “anonymous” concept… Please let me know. Regards, Sarah @ Journeys of The Zoo

  9. Lori says:

Where is the permanent tab for reviews?

  10. k says:

    @sally ok. thank you!

  11. Bump, are you there Sally? Hopefully on the beach somewhere, I’m jealous. Just wondering if I should take the time to enter. Great contest. Sarah

  12. Sandra5 says:

OK just submitted my review a 2nd time, but nothing showed up on the review page. I don’t actually care anymore about whether or not I win but just wondering how long this process will spin before my review shows up. First attempt a couple of days ago, 2nd attempt about 4hours ago.
My review was a couple of paragraphs and legitimate.
Who is the person named “Review” who is responding to people’s complaints on the Review blog?

  13. Sally says:

No journeys of the Zoo you cannot do that sorry. You may copy paste your review but we cannot link to it at this time. Thanks 🙂

Sandra 5, after you submit them they are manually reviewed then posted a few a day, whats your review about and I can make sure it’s gone through. Although I do not understand your negative feelings when you just submitted 4 hours ago? I do not have any double reviews in my inbox right now. The contest is running thru August so that’s why a few a day are being posted 🙂

  14. Sandra5 says:

Somebody named Review posted on your review blog in response to complaints:
Cut and pasted From your Review Blog:
    “Review says…
    June 13, 2012 at 12:23 am
The link does work it redirects you to the main page you are on where you can see “Submit your review”
Next time to avoid being moderated first please do not use swear words in your post.”
This person gives the impression that reviews are posted immediately and are only moderated if there are swear words.
So, if this is you Sally then you’ve given the impression that there should be no lag time. If this is not you, then conflicting messages are being given out to people who wish to submit reviews.
So, again, who is the person named “Review” responding to people’s complaints on the review blog (you didn’t answer my question the first time I asked it.)
If Review is blog staff then you should get your messages coordinated to not conflict with each other.
If Review is an impostor, then their post should be deleted.

  15. Sally says:

    Sandra,

That post meant your post was moderated because you swore. NOT your submitted review. I am review, so no i’m not an imposter nor did I have stuff uncoordinated, you misunderstood “Reviews” post.

    🙂

Anyways I see your review it should be posted next week.

  16. Kevlar says:

Yes.. always! My mum & dad brought me up to be polite and considerate so, I hold doors open, including the car door, I say please and thank you, etc, etc. What irks me is that, when you hold doors open for people, they walk past you and say nothing… no thank you and no acknowledgement that you’ve held the door. The worst offenders are seniors, like they expect you to hold the door open for them. The most considerate that say thank you, children and teens.
I’m also partly disabled so often use a cane. When I use a cane, 90% of the time people will hold the door for me. When I don’t use my cane, 95% won’t!

  17. jill says:

do more reviews = more entries?

  18. Sally says:

    Yes Jill they do.

As for the silly ones sending reviews about me obviously they won’t be posted but thanks for the laughs

  19. Sue says:

Sally, I did not know about the review blog. It’s quite probable that I will spend a lot of time surfing the reviews when I should be working. If no one here says anything to my boss, I would be appreciative! Very glad you posted the link.

  20. rachel lafontaine says:

i always open doors for peaple its the way i was brought up its an automatic gesture for me.what can i say just be kind and polite thing to do.
