I got the e-mail but I don’t have the card!

  8. Melanie says:

For people with the card and no email; is your card registered on the starbucks website? I believe it needs to be to be eligible…

  9. Tasha says:

I went today, and they said it was only for the US. I didn’t get an email. Boo hoo.

  10. Tasha says:

I called Starbucks.com and they said it does apply to Canada, but only stand alone stores. I will visit one tomorrow.

  11. Fanny says:

Does the RBC Starbucks Visa apply to this promotion?
    Thanks.

    • Justine says:

@ Fanny – This is a starbucks card promo. You need a registered starbucks card to get this free drink.

  12. Michelle says:

It didn’t work for me today and I went to an independent Starbucks. The employee had no idea what I was talking about.

  14. Sadday says:

I went to starbucks in BC and they charged my card. Nothing free in BC.

  15. Melanie says:

I went today to a standalone store and was given the free drink. The barista did not seem to know about the promo though…. Just read the email fine print and asked if my card was registered. After she verified it she compped my drink.

I went at 6:45pm on my way home from work. The stand alone Starbucks had 6 employees and 3 customers!! The man who served me said it was the first one he had seen all day! He did not even ask for my card, but I bought a slice of the lemon poppyseed loaf, so used my card. DH also has a registered starbucks card, but did not get an email 🙁

I got the orange blossom tea. It was delicious, and I made another cup when I went home. Shared with sis.

  17. Princesstefer says:

Did you guys have to present the email printed out along with your card? I have a registered card, but I did not receive this email, but I”d like my free tea tomorrow too.

  18. belle says:

i went to starbucks today, and they said they hadn’t heard of it, probably because bc is excluded..but they did offer me a free on the house one..which i got, which was nice of them..

  19. Lynn says:

A RBC Starbucks card IS a Starbucks card. If you have one you need to register it at Starbucks.com.card. Free drink on your birthday,Free wi-fi,specials and promotions!

  20. Cheryl says:

I went last night to a drive through stand alone location and asked about the promo. They gave me the drink without even seeing my card and I didn’t bring the email.

  21. Fleetingleaf says:

I went this morning, got it no problem 🙂

  22. I printed off the email and brought it to my Starbucks in Safeway. They didn’t know about it, but gave me the free tea anyway! They didn’t ask to see my card, either.

Though, in the past, it’s been hit or miss on whether or not this particular Starbucks participates in freebees, since it’s usually the stand alone stores. I figure it never hurts to print off the coupon or email and bring it in so they can at least see it’s legit.

I might have to see if someone else is working there today so I can get another tea – it’s cold here today!

  25. shannon says:

haha, used it in Vancouver without reading the fine print about it not being eligible in BC.

I went in today (to one attached to a Chapters/Indigo) and it was no problem! They knew about the promo and I did not print off the email. She just asked me ahead of time if it was registered because they can tell if it is when they swipe it to comp for the drink. She said a lot of people were coming in without a registered card (thus they did not receive the email).

Cheers for posing this great promo!!!

This is so great… I love loose tea, so excited starbucks has introduced this. Right now I order from a place called http://www.luxleaf.com which has a lot more flavours.

  28. Fionna says:

Thats so strange. I never got the email but I am a Starbucks member. Should I go try and see if I can get my free tea?
