I went to swiss chalet last night, they have a new menu. They got rid of the santa fe chicken sandwiche, which was my favourite, and the reason I go there. The waitress was confused, said it was still on the computer, ordered it for me anyway. While waiting for my food, some of the wait staff were standing around not doing anything and talking about why they would get rid of the santa fe, and the one said that the chips are bland. I thought that wasnt very nice since I was sitting closeby and could hear them. We were the only ones in the dining room.
Anyway, I think I am going to write to the head office and complain about them taking it off the menu.

You can only order one slice? What? Do you mean to say that you can only order one slice period or that you can only get one free slice. Because that would just be stupid if you couldn’t pay for a second slice.

I order from Swiss Chalet the other night because the photo of the pie made my mouth water…

It was awful! The delivery had non of that caramel sauce that makes it looks so good, and it was stale!

Would not order it again and to me… that is the reason it is FREE!

Turns out you have to put the promo code FHS08 in the Family Happens area instead of the free pie area

I am very disappointed in the Swiss Chalet, the one in Burnaby on Lougheed hwy to be specific. I am not sure if it is the policy of the chain to refuse a reservation for a larger party. I phoned the restaurant yesterday (April 26) to inform them that I would be there with a party of 17 people for a birthday celebration. In a rude manner the manager informed me that they do not take reservations. I told him I was aware of that but I thought it would make things a little easier if they knew in advance so they would not be trying to scurry around trying to accomodate us. He continued the unprofessional attitude using a condesending voice, interupting me when I spoke and unwilling to share his ideas as to the best time to come to ensure we did not wait to long. We had asked the guests to arrive at 5:30 so my plan was to get there close to 5pm. He would not even venture a guess as to whether this would be enough. Well if that wasn’t enough I did arrive shortly after five and got my name on the list. A party of six, 5 and 3 came in after us and at the same time a group of 17 left but all the other groups got seated before us. We waited until 5:45 before getting a table. When I inquired as to why all these other people were getting seated before us the response was “YOU are a party of 17”! Back to the beginning, would it not have been simpler on everyone if we had a reservation or at the very least the anticipation that this group was coming.
To top the night off were got served later, received our food 1 1/2 hours after ordering and had to flag the manager to get a refil of drinks. The manager had a bunch of excuses and again not ability to show appropriate customer service.
In conclusion I think at the least it would be nice to see the staff of Swiss Chalet given some training as to how to use effective customer service. There were a lot of people there last night that will never eat at this restaurant again.

  10. What are you delivery boundary areas? For example: I live in Grand Bay-Westfield and would like to know if you deliver to us here in the beautiful Granite Hills of New Brunswick?
